Look for the Spurs to have a great game Monday against the warriors.

Always play well after a loss.

Played like we did in the loss to LA Clips. Still only team with single digit losses. Go Spurs Go!!

The eastern conference is such crap. Gonna have to keep an eye on Boston from here on out. Our schedule is much more difficult than theirs.

Spurs lock up another win to go 38-7. Now 4 games ahead of Boston and 6 ahead of LA.

LA has almost the exact same schedule difficulty as SA the rest of the season. Boston does have a long easy stretch coming up, but first they go to Portland, Phoenix, & LAL, home vs. Dallas, Orlando, LAL, & Miami, then at Denver, GS, and Utah.

So if SA can hold their 4 game lead (or even extend it) over that stretch, they should have a great shot at best record.

After the game, Sean Elliott was interviewing Antonio McDyess, and he said that Blair is in Pop's doghouse because of his defense.

That makes sense because after Bonner's injury, Blair had been getting more minutes until he got 7 tonight.

Also worth noting that Bonner's injury is apparently not getting any better. I haven't heard anything about James Anderson lately, but it would be nice to get both of those guys back after the rodeo road trip.

The Spurs can't really handle another injury right now without getting really thin from a depth standpoint.

Hadn't heard about Bonner, when did he get injured? What's the injury?

Also, Spurs and Hornets are the only 2 teams to be 9-1 over the last 10 games. Hornets are a roller coaster this season.

That looks like I was thumbs up-ing Bonner's injury. Totally wasn't.

Oh, and the win tonight clinched the All-Star game for Pop. Knowing Pop, I'm sure he's bursting with excitement.

Whew!! Spurs survive Utah and move to 39-7.

Nice road win against a Utah team that is long overdue for a win. I was expecting Utah to come out blazing tonight, but the Spurs shut them down early and held on for a win.

39-7 now. 65 wins is seeming more and more likely with each game.

Good news with James Anderson getting back on the court in D league. Word is, he's expected back on the bench in a couple weeks. Just need to get Bonner back.

Spurs hold on tonight. Good win against a feisty Jazz team.

They had stretches where they played good defense and couldn't miss. Hence the 17 and 19 point leads. But they also had flashes of pretty mediocre defense.

Overall, I'd say they played pretty well though.

Bonner hurt his knee a week or so ago (bone bruise). They haven't announced when he'll be back (probably not too much longer).

Last I heard is that there is concern since little or any improvement has been noted since the injury. Let's hope that he gets back soon.

I watched part of the Toros' game on tv tonight. Anderson looked proficient but way out of shape.

Lakers about to lose and Celtics in trouble.

Kevin Garnett gets ejected with 4 mins left for sliding his foot under a guy's landing. KG is trash and that is a punk ass move. Hope he enjoys watching his team lose.

San Antonio 40-7
Boston 35-11; 4.5 games back
Chicago 33-14; 7.0 games back
LA Lake 33-14; 7.0 games back
Miami 32-14 ; 7.5 games back
Dallas 31-15; 7.5 games back
Okla City 30-16; 9.5 games back
New Orleans 31-17; 9.5 games back
Orlando 30-17; 10.0 games back

And today LA plays Boston while the Spurs are idle, so the Spurs either get a 5 game cushion on Boston or a 7.5 game lead over LA. (personally I'd take the 5 game lead on Boston)

LA and Boston both have brutal stretches over the next several weeks. (LA actually has a pretty stout 2nd half of the season schedule altogether)

Chicago's schedule doesn't seem nearly as tough, so I'd be more concerned about them catching the Spurs than LA.

Miami and Dallas are too banged up or depleted to actually worry a whole lot about right now.

The spurs could go 1-34 for the rest of the season and still finish at .500

Oh well. I guess we have to settle with gaining another game over the Lakers.

Wow, I didn't know Chicago was doing so well. If Lebron had decided to go there, they would be the championship frontrunners by a mile.

As is, they're still a very good team, though not a true contender.

I'm not so sure. That's what people said about the heat, and they're not exactly the clear frontrunner. Right now, they're just in the discussion.

1. * San Antonio --
2. * LA Lakers 7.5
3. Dallas 8.5
4. * Oklahoma City 10.0
5. New Orleans 9.5
6. Denver 11.5
7. Utah 12.0
8. Portland 15.0
9. Memphis 16.5
10. Phoenix 18.0

That 7.5 sure is looking nice. If the playoffs started today, it would be a great road to the finals for the Spurs. Blazers, Thunder/Hornets, and most likely Lakers. I could see the Hornets series being a tough one, but I like the Spurs' chances considering how bipolar that team is.

The problem with the Heat is they have 0 depth. It's their big 3 and then a bunch of minimum salary scrubs. Not that they can't make a few plays every now and then, but overall, the Heat are a shallow team.

The Hornets have been a thorn in the Spurs side the last few years. This would be a very tough 2nd round draw for the Spurs.

Blair already with 14 pts and 11 rebounds at the half against Portland.
