Thunder have really locked down on defense. The Spurs will be fortunate to come out with this one.

47-10

Still 5 games ahead of the nearest competitor in the NBA standings. With only 25 games to go, home court advantage is becoming more and more likely each game.

Next up: The New Jersey Derons

They are another game closer to clinching home court. I don't think they will have a problem getting there.

Reason for minor concern now that the playoffs are getting closer:

Splitter - Still injured with hamstring.
Neal - Still out with concussion symptoms.
Parker - now injured with thigh contusion

Also:
Bonner - still having pain from knee contusion (i think that's what it was labeled)

Anderson - L foot stress fracture earlier this season. Starting to take on a bigger role now with recent team injuries.

Duncan - rolled an ankle tonight but came back and seemed okay, other than he looked a little slower than usual.

I'm not so much worried about the injuries listed above, cause they should all be fine within a couple weeks. I just hope no one gets injured or worn down while the hobbled guys are recovering.

****Also note how most of the injured players have been the younger guys. The older guys have been fine up to this point.

Father Dallas moves up to 43-16 despite trailing by 19 points in the first quarter. Ended up winning by 18 even without Caron Butler against a salty Toronto team.

He did not return (injury was in the 1st half), and he is now listed as "day to day."

Doesn't sound too bad at this point in time....just have to hope that it was all muscle bruise and not a bone.

Yeah, they're so salty, they take a bath in butter and call it popcorn... 16-44 ain't salty no matter how you slice it.

Also, Spurs won without Tony Parker, Neal, & Splitter. Dallas can enjoy working over the Lakers in round 2 before the Spurs send them packing.

Let me get this straight, the Mavs are the Spurs' Daddy? The Spurs beat the Mavs last time the last 2 times they played and have won both at home and away and can do no worse than a split of the season series. The Spurs have a far better record this season than the Mavs and are a virtual lock to win the Division and have the best record in the NBA. They beat the Mavs handily the last time they played in the playoffs. They own the all time playoff series between the 2 teams. They own the all time regular season series between the teams. Of course, they have 4 NBA Titles to none for the Mavs and have over 5 times as many Division Titles than the Mavs have.

In what bizarre, twisted world do the Mavs have anything remotely close to being "Father" over the Spurs? How could it not be the exact reverse?

Dallas is good this year, possibly even as good as the Spurs. That said, one injury to Dirkus, and they are 2-9 and can't even get over on Detroit.

Not sure how that fits into the "father Dallas" routine.

Per multiple news sources, Splitter has been cleared by team doctors and Neal is a game time decision.

Hopefully everyone will be available with Parker out.

Also heard that Pop talked to Cory Brewer today about signing with the Spurs. Apparently the Spurs can offer more $ than any contender not named the Mavs.

Spurs playing sieve defense tonight. Gasol got ejected in the 1st half, Memphis got 3 technicals, and the Spurs are still getting hammered by 9.

Duncan, Manu, and Splitter showed up to play (and even Quinn), but the rest of the team might as well just stand there and do nothing.

Well, they're about to drop to 49-11. Normally I don't call a game this early, but it's obvious they just aren't focused enough to win tonight.

Hill needs to get his crap together quick. He's had a couple lackluster performances consecutively now.

They might luck out if Chandler's injury can slow down Dallas a little.

Damn. Bummed to see we didn't get #50 tonight. Thank God we get Cleveland before that brutal Heat-Lakers stretch.

On the bright side, both times the Spurs have lost this month, they've come back and played great games against the Wizards and Thunder. If that Wizards game was any indication, expect a huge blowout tomorrow.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
With Jamison now out for the season, I don't see any possible way the Spurs can lose tomorrow.

The Cavs just don't have the players to keep that game close.

Assuming the Spurs survive tomorrow night, I'd be happy with splitting the Miami / LA games to get to 51-12.

Then go 2-0 at home vs. Detroit & Sacramento. 53-12 sounds nice.

That would set up the monstrous Houston / Dallas / Miami road trip, at which point it will have been 2 weeks since Parker's injury.

And the funk continues. Spurs looking extremely bored and uninterested while losing to an injury riddled team that is worst in the league.

Once again Duncan showed up to play and isn't getting any help. George Hill is still looking like an average backup point guard. Quinn needs to be cut. Neal plays PG better than Quinn.

meh...Spurs came back at the end of the half to take a 5 point lead.

24 game minutes until win number 50 comes to pass.

Whoever the NBA official #14 is (young, tall, skinny white guy), he has now officiated 2 Spurs games recently and his calls on both ends of the floor consistently go against the Spurs. He must be a friend of Joe Crawford's. He lets the Spurs get hacked bad on offense and then makes up phantom calls on the other end. The other two guys out there in both games I have seen were calling it both ways, but #14 is a deeewshnozzle to the Spurs.

I didn't watch the game tonight and have no idea what kind of game it was, but glad to be the first to get to 50 wins. I'll take it.

Good to get the win. But to hold Cleveland, the worst team in the league (No Davis, Jamison or Varejao), to only 99 points? The way they are playing right now, it won't be long until the Mavs take the one spot.
