My tickets aren't that good. I was close to pulling the trigger on some that close, but my conservative sense prevailed. I think I'll be in 117.
I get post-season tickets, split with a friend, so we settled for the worst available 100 level seats (which are still great). Honestly the higher up you go, the better the experience because there are more die hard fans to cheer with you.

I like that Manu and splitter had huge series and it was good to see Leonard, diaw, and even green have some good moments. Besides belenelli no spurs should be lacking confidence.
I admittedly haven't seen Portland play much, but I think the Spurs depth and ability to mix up defenders on lilliard and Aldridge will lead the Spurs to victory. I think it goes six. I really though the rockets would be here so Portland has impressed me already and i dont think it will be an easy series.

Spurs 5
If the Spurs show up even similarly to what they did on Sunday they won't have any problems. The entire series so many of their role players simply didn't do much of anything. Once Kawhi and Green got back to form offensively it was a route. Portland can't match up once you get past the top 6 players and it's not even close, but the Spurs need those role players to play well.

This is spot on, actually. The lower bowl fans have gotten so spoiled over the last decade-plus. Upper level brings the passion every game and it's awesome.
Of course I'd rather sit closer to the action (who wouldn't?), but I'll never turn up my nose at the opportunity to sit in the nosebleeds and act a fool, either.

Portland as a franchise have played in 218 playoff games. Tim Duncan has also played in 218 playoff games.
I dont see this series going 7 games. I think we see a carry over from game 7 into this series. They may drop game 1 with the quick turnaround, but I think Parker has his edge back, and Leonard certainly started finding his offensive flow again. Greens minutes have seemed to increase slightly (either that, or hes just having a bigger impact when hes in). It will be interesting to see who they put on Lillard. Batum is a long player and they may use Leonard on him just because of size. I hope we dont put Ginobli or Parker on Lillard. Those guys are such sparks on offense, it would be bad for them to get in foul trouble or tired chasing him around.
I'm expecting the Spurs to come out and somewhat convincingly win games 1 & 2 at home. The Mavs played them very hard and had multiple guys shooting lights out at times. When the Spurs finally found their A game it was a blowout. I don't think Portland will play as well as the Mavs and I think the Spurs carry the game 7 momentum into this series.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic but that Mavs series was quite a scare. That plus the way Portland has played us in recent memory has me pretty nervous.
I think the Spurs pull it out but it will be quite a fight. They played pretty well against the Rockets.

I don't like playing teams with fast point guards and athletic shooting PFs.

Exactly. These are teams that historically give the Spurs problems.
I'm leaning on the Spurs experience and defense when I pick the Spurs to win this series.
You know Portland will get hot. But hopefully SA can swing back with more defensive intensity during those runs.
And for goodness sake we need to limit Lopez's offensive boards. The Mavs killed us on the offensive glass and Lopez is very good at it.

Gotta control Lillard. Aldridge will get his but well do a decent job on him with Splitter and Diaw. Gotta keep Lillard off the 3 pt line. Batum and Matthews have actually been shooting the ball pretty poorly from deep. The bench should be able to get more involved this series.

I already know going into this series that I am going to come out the other side with a deep DEEP hatred for Lopez. I couldnt stand watching him against Houston, and I dont care at all about Houston.
I like Lopez. He works hard and doesn't act like a clown on the court.
We'll see if I still feel this way in a couple weeks.

Since there is no Miami thread... I can't help but feel a little cheated watching Miami play in the East. It's really pathetic. If the Spurs make the finals they will definitely be battle tested, but Miami should have 100‰ fresh legs... Yes, its guaranteed Miami wins the East.
