Or figuring out possible extension.
“The Wizards are not expected to have immediate extension talks with Young, and both sides will evaluate his health once he arrives in Washington, sources said.”

Sounds like Trae won’t be playing that many games. The top-8 protected pick I’m sure has a lot to do with that. https://t.co/R1giQSp9ti
The Kings are eager to move off DeMar DeRozan’s contract ahead of the trade deadline.
— Evan Sidery (@esidery) January 9, 2026
However, there’s currently little interest in DeRozan at his $24.8 million salary.
Trading DeRozan would naturally open up a forward spot for Jonathan Kuminga, if he ends up in Sacramento. pic.twitter.com/tmeYL0PH5g
Exclusive: The Clippers say Kawhi Leonard's no-show endorsement deal was independent of the franchise. Internal e-mails indicate otherwise.

Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis has sustained ligament damage in his left hand, sources tell me and @BannedMacMahon. Depending on second opinion and if surgery is required, Davis could miss a number of months. pic.twitter.com/POS4szWjUY

Somehow, the worst trade in NBA history that already happened a year ago continues to get worse and worse.

I think this tweet was poorly worded and they weren't shopping around everyone (certainly not the Rookies)
I think they are trying to find some more value. They suck too much to not try to improve in any way they can.
The problem with Zion is he costs so much, matching is hard without giving awful contracts. But he's also too valuable to just cut (contract isn't guaranteed)
Teams will be more likely to spend on Trey or Herb in off season if they aren't the final piece in a championship team. And with OKC, why feels they are the final piece? Herb is shooting 39/33 and grabbing fewer than his career average of 3.8rpg.

Jeremy went in for the last play and played elite defense, forcing White into an airball.
Victor looks like a complete non-factor against a team with only Queta and Luke Garza at center.
The NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder for three games for confronting and attempting to strike another player 40 minutes after Kings' loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles on Dec. 28.
