Kyle Tucker at 15 is the only other Astros prospect on the list, for those too lazy to click
Think he spent too much time in the Majors this year. He debuted on June 9th, and "exceeded Rookie limits" during the season, according to Baseball-Reference.Ag_07 said:NotGibbs said:

Huh??
We've got 4 on that list
Forrest Whitley @ 10
Kyle Tucker @ 15
Yordan Alvarez @ 62
JB Bukauskas @ 76
What exactly qualifies a player as a prospect for this list? I ask because I notice there is no Francis Martes.

Oops. I did a quick scroll through the list on my phone at work, hit the ad after #60, and assumed it was the end of the list.
Plus y'all should know not to take my word on anything that regards reading by now...

Without a major need, I can't see him coming up for more than just a Sept call up at most. I want JB & Forrest to build up their stamina as a starter and get ready to take on roles in the rotation when there is no more Keuchel, Verlander, and/or Cole. I'm not sure how much they could contribute in the bullpen next year.Marvin said:Ag_07 said:NotGibbs said:

Given their trajectory, service time (or clock, whatever schedule Luhnow has to moderate) and the existing Houston roster, what do you think in terms of major league appearances? Injuries obviously affect that greatly, but I assume Bukauskas might land in the Astros pen sometime in 18. Agree, disagree?
J.D. Davis will likely be moved in the next year or so if he continues his upward trajectory.Agnzona said:
Since we are looking at that prospect list whom might we trade a veteran for in a couple of years?
Quote:
The Astros have claimed left-handed reliever Buddy Boshers off waivers from the Twins, per a team announcement from Houston. Boshers was designated for assignment by the Twins in order to clear a roster spot for Addison Reed. Boshers pushes Houston's 40-man roster up to a count of 39.
Set to turn 30 in May, Boshers parlayed a minor league deal with the Twins in the 2015-16 offseason into 71 innings of work and more than a year of service at the big league level. In parts of his two seasons with Minnesota, the southpaw turned in a 4.56 ERA. Boshers impressed with an 8.2 K/9 rate against 2.2 BB/9, but he's also been somewhat homer-prone (1.3 HR/9). He's also been clobbered by right-handed opponents in that time; while Boshers limited lefties to a lowly .231/.262/.345 batting line through 122 plate appearances, righties knocked him around at a .268/.330/.485 clip in 183 PAs.

I am so ****ing jacked for this upcoming season. I can not ****ing wait. I usually get that itch and nervousness every year, but this year is extra special. I am trying my best to not just outright expect another trip to the playoffs, because it is baseball and you just never know.....but either way this years team is going to be a joy to watch. Especially a full season with Verlander and Dallas in his final year pitching for a big contract.
I can't ****ing wait for sunshine, shorts/flip flops, cold Karbach, and Astros baseball
