McCann was the guest on the 1/18/18 Astroline podcast. Guy works his tail off - really have a lot of respect for him,Farmer1906 said:
Don't hate on this guy.
If we don't need him this year, I don't see why they would start the clock on him yet. If we do need him this year, then hopefully our offense is carrying us and we're just hitting speed bumps with rotation health.TREX01 said:
Whitely will pitch for the Astros this year. Someone referenced our AAA starters and said there may not be room for him. That's lunacy. Hes the best pitcher we have in the minors and has dominated at every level. He will do the same in AAA this year and see Minute Maid sometime later this summer. He would be a wildcard for us when the playoffs roll around.

is it a bat made out of crystals, or covered in crystals? It looks more like it has been bedazzledAgDC said:

I do enjoy St. Arnolds more, BUT when at MMP I have a hard time passing up on a cold HopadilloAgDC said:Quote:

Art car tastes like nothing.
I'm sure it is marijuana, but If you were given a 2 million per year contract to lounge around in AAA, why would you risk suspension without pay. That is about the only thing you can do to not get paid. Otherwise the money is guaranteed.NotGibbs said:
Not that it surprises anyone. Or that anyone gives a damn about him anymore

Not only behind Peacock and McHugh, but I think Martes and maybe Paulino would get a look before Whitley. The clock has already started on those two and I highly doubt we're at a place where we need Whitley to pitch this year.Ag_07 said:TREX01 said:

There's no room for him.
MAYBE if there's injury but even then he's behind Peacock and McHugh who would plug in the rotation if needed.
Once the playoffs start and we only need 3 or 4 starters then there is really no spot for him.
I really don't see him in the bigs until 2019 after Keuchel and/or Morton walk.
And for the record I'm not a big fan of bringing him up and letting him work from the pen until a spot opens up like with what they did with Martes last year. He needs to be treated like LMJ and go straight into the rotation when he's ready.
