If only he had some run support.

The bottom 4 are batting .100 (regular catcher), .000 (backup 2B to rat face), .125 ( regular LF) and .000 (replacement CF). I know it's early but that's some craptastic hitters in the bottom half of your lineup.

I'm just pointing out the "5 years ago" standard. Have you seen the contracts in baseball? You do realize there is money involved right? In 2021 the Asstrolls have 42MM committed to two players as of now. 29MM to Altuve and 13MM to Mr. Pot himself, Jon Singleton. That's almost a third of the total payroll so good luck signing all the young guys to long term deals.

Not sure where you get your information, but Singleton comes off the Astros' books this season. There are club options for 19-21, none of which will get picked up.

Not sure where you get your information, but Singleton comes off the Astros' books this season. There are club options for 19-21, none of which will get picked up.

He's already basically off of the payroll because of his suspension, isn't he? It's kind of like that time another club had a bad contract on a bad player, but he tweaked his neck and retired early. Can you imagine what kind of shape that organization would be in without the insurance bailout?

I'm just pointing out the "5 years ago" standard. Have you seen the contracts in baseball? You do realize there is money involved right? In 2021 the Asstrolls have 42MM committed to two players as of now. 29MM to Altuve and 13MM to Mr. Pot himself, Jon Singleton. That's almost a third of the total payroll so good luck signing all the young guys to long term deals.
Neither of those numbers is correct. I think Altuve's contract will be $25m/yr at that point, and Jon Singleton's contract expires this year, unless we pick up the team option (which we wont). I also love your assumption that our payroll in 2021 is going to be the exact same as it is this year.

I used Spotrac which it seems may have distributed Altuve's bonus incorrectly and he will be at 26MM, not 29MM. I did also miss the Singleton being a club option which will likely not get picked up.
