Agreed, being in @11.30, seeing it get to $19, then down to $6, I'd be happy taking the W and going elsewhere.

It never was going to blow up as big as GME. GME hedgers shorted more options than there even options available. Now that it's close to time to cover, they can't get any unless people break ranks and sell. There is not (yet) the supply crunch from AMC and if more stocks are added again next week this will help fight that. Right now hedgefunds shorting AMC have exits they can use.

I dont know the exact short amount that expires today but have heard it's around $9. Hedges will have to cover starting next week if the stock closes above that level.

As far as next week goes, if more stocks are sold, it will dilute the value and drop the price. At that point it will depend how quickly they get bought up. Hedges have no choice but to buy to cover and retail traders will buy if its cheap.
