I was racing this track on a sim this week and that second chicane into a hard left (T14, T15, T16) was kicking my ass. It basically a blind corner coming into the chicane as it's slightly up hill and actually kind of scary.

I feel slightly better about my skills seeing how much difficulty the pro drivers have had with that section lol.

If there's a sim facility in your area, I highly recommend checking out at least once. My buddy and I have been racing starting race week by driving the current track. It really has helped understand where all the drivers are on the track in relation to the rest of the grid and it really puts into perspective how good these guys are.


Also it's a **** load of fun.

Poor Antonelli. The situation at the first corner was really due to a lack of experience. Then he's hit with a textbook unsafe release. Literally the exact thing they try to prevent.

$69 for an hour on the Pro Sim
$59 for an hour on the E-Sports Sim

For that one hour you get a 10 min practice session, 10 min qualifying, and two 15 minute races.

The biggest difference is that the E-Sports sim has a curved monitor and basic racing platform while the Pro Sim has 3 larger connected screens and an upgraded platform. When you start driving on the Pro Sim, the actual rig raises up about 5 inches. It has more hydraulics so you feel the track, curves and bumps more. Both have pro steering wheels, force feedback steering, headsets, etc.

They have range of cars from little hatchbacks, JDM, performance vehicles, super cars, NASCAR, F1-F4, vintage cars, etc. You can also pick almost any track out there, not just F1 tracks. They even have some historic layouts of places like Silverstone.

In Texas you might try one of the Andretti Karting places or Velocity Lounge

There's one in New Braunfels off 35 that has 20 rigs and got me to build one at home it was so much fun.

COTA barely got a 5 year extension. Liberty didn't like the chairman of COTA back then, we will see if they work something out. People love COTA so that helps, and it's the only GP in the country at a proper track. A 5 year extension would be ideal so they can figure out how necessary Vegas truly is.

Vegas is the one that should go away. Disrupts the strip for so long and is hated locally, but the city doesn't seem to care.

Carlos claimed he was moving a bit under braking but it looked like he just drove straight into Hamilton. Can you imagine how pissed Lewis would be if he was taken out on the second to last turn?

The last half of the race was kind of quiet but overall I enjoyed this one. I doubt it will shut the Euros up who think 9 races on their tracks aren't enough, but it seems like the Miami race is improving a little bit each year.

This season's RB car sort of feels like Ferrari a few years back where Leclerc got pole several times, but come the grand prix, he didn't have the pace.
