Thinking about it like that, yeah, I think I could keep an F3 car on the track too. I definitely will be slow.

Anyone unsure or thinking about this should go drive the NASCAR cars at Texas world speedway....150mph is serious business and I'm convinced that's my limit.

This will end up as his excuse to drop out of F1 gracefully and tee up a new driver for the 2026 car. The 2023 surgery is just now an issue?

The Speed City radio guys just brought that up as a possibility for Canada if Lance isn't able to drive.

his would have been 7-8+ laps old vs drivers around him who pitted. Don't know how long he would have been able to defend from 1st. His final position might be same on either strategy.

I guess the only reason the leave him out would be for a quick safety car after restart.

So wtf happened there? Looked like max was trying to time the pass to get back on Russell and Russell braked pretty aggressively into the corner?

Obviously on max and he's getting penalized. Just don't think he ran into George on purpose.

Well in hindsight should have left them out on used softs and see if he could defend from 1st. Max had another one of his red mist moments and probably cost him what ever chance he had had the drivers title.

Would have left Max out with softs. And then telling him to give that place back?!? Crazy. Max trying to fight off the orange and red with one hand tied behind his back this year. I can understand his frustration. Fun race though.

Stewards docs out stating Max would not have received a penalty for turn 1 with Russell because George briefly lost control of his car so Max was justified for using the escape road. Max received 3 penalty points for the later deliberate hit and now has 11 out of 12. Not sure when the older ones expire so he is close to race ban.
