Now it all makes sense. The action in season 1 was plausible, the show has jumped the shark.

We just finished the show last night and the last few episodes were excellent and kept us on the edge of our seats/couch!. With that said…. I preface this obviously saying I know very little about military training and I DO get the guy was a marine before being an analyst. BUT, how does he suddenly transform into Jason Bourne on steroids! I personally wasn't complaining but I know a-lot of people are going to say "WTF… come on man" to the final 2/3 episode action sequences involving Ryan! Can't wait for season 4! I've read it's already done but will probably be at least a year before coming out- who knows though.

I like how when they type something into a laptop it makes beep, boop, bop noises as they are typing like "futuristic" movies from the 80's. Anyway, I enjoyed the season.

We're we just supposed to assume who took out Luka at the end was KGB (whatever they are called now?) or was it remaining from the coup faction? Or we don't need to know every single detail...

Overall a great series. Best of the 3 IMO. I didn't like how they handled Luka at the end.

Enjoyed the season as I have the first two.

I thought it was interesting that the show shifted from The Sum Of All Fears (as several earlier posters mentioned) to The Hunt For Red October in the finale.

I got a lot of Cardinal of the Kremlin vibes too.

Enjoyable season.

In the Tom Clancy books Jack Ryan was with 1st BN, 5th Marines Infantry. So would of had Infantry training being a Infantry Officer.

I'm enjoying the plot and politics.

Everything to do with technology, weapons, fighting, and Jack's role in any of it is eye rolling bad. Gotta just turn that part off and try to enjoy.

I'm sure it's just me but it was the height of ridiculous that a CIA analyst who had been an infantry officer a decade before-

suddenly knows how to assault a civilian freighter by quickly walking up the side of a ship

To tie this into your Game Of Thrones reference the actor (who was born in San Angelo btw) just married Cersei this past October. He looks a lot different than he did in Ozark.

Guess I just don't remember the book Jack Ryan leading military operations so much. Oh well, still enjoying. It has been 20+ years since read them so …

As a plane nerd I was somewhat irked they showed Wright flying off in a Saab 340 turbo prop and then landing in a citation jet.

I found a lot of this season to be lazy writing/story.

I like Krasinski

but having a morbidly obese CIA officer as the hero is a bit much.

"we want our clandestine agents to blend in wherever they go!" so let's cast a 6 foot 4 fat black guy who draws attention wherever he walks

this series is much better in book form- this season is more like "here is a pretty view of Greece! Now here is a pretty view of Budapest from the Danube!"

there has not been a single shocking moment, cliffhanger or interesting twist. they for some reason give away the plot before showing what happens next.

and the entire thing is confusing from the jump- the Czech Republic is the focus because they are not in NATO but maybe NATO will station missiles in their territory?!

did they just not update the book in 22 years?

I mean Czech is a major part of NATO, so what is all the intrigue over them putting missiles into their country?

I think the cast just wanted a free trip to Prague!
