One thing I'm curious about, I wonder how many folks are romanticizing how good some of these movies are that they might not have seen in a while.
Like, if you watched ID4 and MIB back to back I don't think many would come away thinking ID4 was the better film

rewatchability is a huge factor for me when voting. I do consciously think of which one I now like to watch or watch more frequently and all the way through.

100% disagree. ID4 is funnier than it should be, blew the doors off every other film for effects in its era, and gave a huge chunk of us the plot we wanted to see - our military against aliens. If you aren't wildly entertained by ID4, there is something seriously wrong with you.
Men in Black is a better movie, but I'd still rather watch Independence Day if they are both on.

The only flaw with Desperado is that the Salma Hayek OMG scene only lasts like 10 seconds.
I'm not judging by re-watchability but by how monumental they were at their time
