I've seen 2 of yours.
Which ones?

After I walked away from my earlier post, I remembered that I should have added:
  • Run the Jewels in Newtown, Sydney - and my Internet claim to fame is that in 2018, I traded Twitter messages with Killer Mike
  • Judas Priest with Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals at a country bar in San Antonio in 1998.
  • I assume others on here have seen Heaven and Hell but, I have a can of Ronnie James Dio's Boddingtons Ale that got exploded in the backseat of my Ford Expedition after one of my friends stole it from Ronnie's dressing room after a show in San Diego in 2007.

No Doubt and Puddle of Mudd. One of my best friends went to the same high school as Wes Scantlin and my friend's older brother grew up with Wes and they were really close friends. When I was living in Kansas City, we had free tickets to their concert with Korn.

Came to post Chuck Berry, but I see a couple of people beat me to it. I'll go with Little Richard instead, who played the same show as CB when I saw them in a high school gym in 2002.

Back to op, does Kurtis Blow count as a well known artist and does a 3 song set by the MSC fountain count as a concert? Because I saw that happen and there were maybe 8 other people there staring politely.

I really did have this thought while making my list. Left off a lot of concerts just because I figured "oh man, EVERYONE has seen THESE dudes". Example: ZZ Top twice.

It was pretty nuts. Early 00s. Just walking through campus and I saw a small group of people next to a PA system and as I got closer I realized it was some sort of performance. Saw these 2 little dudes in jumpsuits breakdancing on those little mats and they kicked into "Basketball" and then did like a 9 minute version of "The Breaks". I was wildly entertained and then it ended and I got on the bus and went home.

Saw the Black Keys at Dallas' Grenada Theater about 19 years ago (edit to correct time period). What an experience.

In the last couple years saw UK band, Wolf Alice at Dallas' Echo Lounge. They're definitely a band to follow.

I'm sure lots of folks have seen Aerosmith but, did you see them at a private show for a corporate event at the MGM Grand?

Or like seeing Alice Cooper or KISS from the side of the stage or backstage while drinking all of Queensryche beer. True story.

Wolfmother - twice in Dallas in the mid/late Aughts.

I saw them a couple weeks ago. I believe that was the 4th time for me.

It's not the same lineup though, right? I saw them at the Gypsy Tea Room (RIP) back in 2007 or so. They put on such a fun show. They actually asked all the girls to come up on stage with them when they played Woman.

Andrew Stockdale is Wolfmother. The rest of the band has never been consistent as far as I know.

Here's one I hope nobody else has seen Iggy Azalea opened for Pitbull last year.

Pitbull was great and the man is an absolute American Patriot. Highly recommend going to a Pitbull show. Dale!

Stevie Ray Vaughan at the Cheatham Street Warehouse when I was a student at SWTSU. '87 I think.

I also saw Boston under a cover name at the Flaming Mug in Fayetteville, NC in '90 (I think ). I joined the Army after too much fun at SWTSU.

Agree on Pitbull. Saw him at HLSR, had the whole stadium up and dancing the whole show.

I saw that Tom Waits tour in Dallas, so sweaty - I think the AC was broken.

I was told Tom Waits had it in his contract that it had to be turned off before he took the stage. How accurate that is I have no idea. But it was indeed hot as **** in there. Never seen that place so crowded which made it even more miserable. But the show was amazing.
This is very accurate. Heard about him doing this a couple years before from a big Tom Waits fan that I worked with at a Dallas record store. Very strange.

Someone mentioned Mc Hammer. Was going to mention him along with Boyz II Men and Jodeci at Reunion Arena on the 2 Legit 2 Quit tour, my first big concert ever.

Wolf Alice is awesome. Been a fan since I stumbled across a little live in studio KEXP appearance of theirs several years ago.
