Having a young child and taken a couple trips to Disneyworld in the last several years. It's mindboggling how much they leverage their IP in the parks. Like I got it on a conceptual level, but have been recently, it's still eye opening. This new "Snow White" is probably looked at as a disappoint / failure within C-Suite at Disney, but probably not to the degree the public thinks. The parks/experience part of Disney account for almost 40% of Disney's total revenue and the parks make up 70% of Disney's operating income. They plan to invest $60 billion into parks and cruises in the next ten years. So 375M spent on a film that won't bring back the expected return but will still eventually probably breakeven is an F up, but not a big deal in the big picture.

Hollywood is virtually all liberal, but I can't give $$$ to the ones that hate my sweet mother and grandmother and wish them the opposite of peace.
