That makes more sense than turning a valve?

Some of y'all want it to be Russia so bad you're not making any sense like liberals.

Does the Baltic Sea ice over in the vicinity of the pipeline break?

Anyone know?

It could if they wanted to get into a position where acting "with regrets, its going to take some time" but it be something they control.

No, have no opinion on "wanting it to be Russia" ---- have already said it makes no sense from most point of views. But something very easily reversed but not `at once' could serve some purpose.

But the activity at the site and with what of Nortex's post is pretty strongly indicative in another direction.

Look at what they had (drones), where they had it, and what they had that could get to Nordstream pipelines. Also, going from operating a drone to cut/collect a surface mine, vs. going to precisely cut a hole in a pipeline at the bottom of the sea is…a different mission/hardware set.

Further, If a superpower were to execute a mission to damage these pipelines as such, they wouldn't outsource it to be done covertly by some newbie trained Ukrainian operators.
No need to cut a precise hole. Get close enough with an explosive and the internal pressure of the pipe would do the rest. They were trained to find and eliminate unexploded ordnance which would be small and on the bottom. They could find something as big as a pipeline.

And have you seen what those "newbie" Ukes have been doing with everything we've sent their way? Including drones? They're pretty good at this war thing

These pipelines were already not sending gas. One was turned off. Two isn't completed yet.

So why would Russia blow it up? They already are not sending gas. It's turned off. Shut down. Etc. what sense does it make for Russia to then blow it up? They control the on/off valve.

Ukraine hates those pipelines. That toll money dried up once NS 1 went operational.

I would think that if it were a false flag, Russia would be flooding the zone with propaganda pointing fingers at us. Which they're not as far as I've seen.

And I haven't yet seen the US really deny it. (Could have missed it, been traveling all day.)

But why. They've already said they are willing to honor the contract. It's not them putting the restrictions on the flow. It's the sanctions by Germany.

We don't want Germany to go rogue and negotiation with Russia prior to winter.

Not you specifically but many want it to be Russia but all evidence so far keeps coming up United States. Russia is the last to benefit. Regardless of repair times.

No argument. And I am very aware there actually are no "good" sides in this clash and deterioration of the overall situation in Europe. With the exception of countries like Poland, Estonia, and Finland etc, that are just having to react to it all.

collapse of the EU and probably the collapse of most global currencies.

way too much hyperbole here.

recession. Yes. Maybe a bad one. But collapse? no.
Mark me down for currency collapse and shift to digital usd as an entirely new currency that is detached from the USD. We might end up seeing some sort of global digital currency before it's all over. We gonna ride this thing all the way to the bottom.

Is Russia well on its way to fracturing the EU and fracturing NATO?

It sure looks that way.

Will we have EU countries trying to make unilateral deals with Russia?

I can see this whole thing coming to pieces before it's all over.

Countries detach from the EU and enter Schengen like treaties with the rest of the EU like Switzerland and GB.

Anything is possible.

It seems to me that we were worried about German losing resolve as winter sets in so we "burned the ships" behind them.

I think one thing is for sure though- the post 1945 world order is crashing down around us.

I can't believe a state actor did this. There are logical reasons against it for practically everyone save Poland or someone out of left field.

So you admit you're viewing this with a bias that it's impossible a state did this. That's a bad way to analyze data.
I don't understand how people can't at least accept the possibility the NeoCons in the US/NATO took down NS2 to force a war; a war they've been wanting since the cold war.

The evil global cabal is not very good at this if they think breaking something that can apparently be fixed in a couple of weeks would start World War 3.

That is but a taste of the mayhem the global cabal is capable of wrecking. And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling patriots.

If the pipeline was not transferring product, why are we seeing the videos of bubbles rising up from the ocean floor? That looks fairly significant.

It's probably N1 which had gas blocked in. A pipe of that size will blow it's load for a while.

Was I just imagining Tucker last night explaining to the world that FJB would have never sabotaged the pipeline because of the release of the climate killing gases?

Just shut off the closest valve to the leak. aside from initial gas in the line, why would there be a continuous release?

Not sure you understand the likely location of the nearest valve blocks, nor the volume of gas that would be in that line.

This is Tucker's opening from last night. Am I missing something here or did he just facetiously blame FJB for sabotaging the pipeline? I might have been 2 martinis in when I watched this last night, but that is my take at this point. Please someone correct me.

I took it as him pointing out (since no one else will do it) yet another example of Dems talking out of their arse.

If you tell your neighbor you're going to kill his cat and then his cat winds up dead who do you think looks guilty?

Biden's machismo and reckless mouth could get a lot of people killed.

I don't know the location of the nearest valve. The point is that tucker was discussing a major environmental disaster. This isn't like macando with an uncontrolled well release. There is a finite amount of gas or nitrogen between the breaks and the nearest valves.
CDUB98
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Yes, there is a finite amount of gas in the line, BUT there is a damn lot of gas in that line. Likely billions of cubic feet.

Seems unlikely they would have used a bomb carried by a pipeline pig given that there was no flow and the location would be pretty far for a self-propelled pig to travel.
