Looks like the "democrats" and Deep Staters got what they needed just in time to sabotage the 2020 election, huh?
Trump wouldn't have gotten half the stuff done in four years if he had won in 2020 as he has been able to do in his first two weeks now. He is literally draining the swamp more rapidly than they can fill it back up.
Edit - And Pam Bondi is about to be very busy.
The Tides Center ($25 million from USAID), and it's spin out, the "Fair and Just Prosecution," USAID-funded, and Soros prosecutors (including Bragg office etc) all neatly tie together.
(Caution, nsfw language, strongly recommend watching or listening to this for 15 minutes when one gets a chance). Why did USAID give $27 million to the US fiscal sponsor of the group controlling Soros-funded prosecutors and telling them which American citizens and politicians to prosecute? https://t.co/nFm7wqXntQ

I am GREATFUL that an outsider can look at a budget/org and make recommendations to Trump. Our country was almost totally ****ED by unelected bureaucrats. Now, these asswipes are being kicked out.

So where's the order from Trump directing Musk to do this? Don't worry, I'll wait for you to find it...
Trump has agreed. That's why it's going to progress.

Given that it was a law created by Congress, all Trump can do is fire everyone and not refill those positions.
But that doesn't "end" USAID. The next democrat president can simply re-fill those positions and bring USAID right back to where it was on January 19, 2025.
While a 4 year savings is nice, Trump has to get Congress to act to end USAID (and the Dept. of Education and whatever else he want to eliminate) so that it would require another act of Congress to bring the program back. THAT is the only thing that will actually "eliminate" USAID rather than simply hitting the pause button while Trump is POTUS.

I don't see the debt ever getting "paid down". We have to keep growing the economy (and revenues) at a faster rate than we are adding to the debt so we eventually get it back down to a reasonable percentage of GDP.

In the Senate, 69 voted in favor and 22 voted against separating education from the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. In the House of Representatives, 215 voted in favor and 201 voted against. President Carter signed the bill on October 17, 1979.
