Why is the government paying daycare centers in the first place?

I do see that Gov Walz was cavalier in his "solution" to daycare on twitter, but the message certainly was not "FREE DAYCARE FOR EVERYONE THAT IS WORKING!", that was just his cover for appropriating funds for nebulous causes such as "child care" expenses...

If it was, that would be national news, and people would inquire about how they are attempting to pay for it.

But there was never any explanation as to where it was going, to whom, for what. I guarantee you there are millions of people in MI that work one or two+ jobs AND pay for child care that are going to have really chapped asses on this **** if they figure out the dollars they thought they voted for were going for fraud to people no smarter than their sixth graders, who have no jobs so no need to send their kids to daycare.

Sadly, these weak creatures fear being called "racists" so will probably do nothing at all.

I have learned through my research that it is indeed 20K per kid per year in tax payer money. And what happens with that much money sloshing around for the taking? The price keeps going up. The incentive to bill for more kids than are even there is very high. So I would not be in the least surprised if "parents" get a cut or kickback.

Saw one Somali woman say she put her kid in at 2PM. Now maybe that is shift work but more likely she takes her kid on a daily circuit of different daycares (they are only blocks apart) then goes to the next and the next and so on. Gets a cut at each place.

Notice how they all have very nice cars, while qualifying for these government benefits. They will be wearing Hermes scarfs before soon.

Now for the real questions as to how much overlap with these kids is there? SS#s? Names? Faked inoculation records? Surely a real kid with the same records in multiple daycares would be noticed by authorities? Or the records are easily faked? Like using fake voter rolls created by ERIC? Phantom voter can have a phantom kid?

You mentioning payroll triggered a memory/thought. I had a tax client who owned a daycare and my memory is that day cares were very heavily regulated. Things like the food they served, the ratio of adult staff (don't remember if they were called teachers or what) to the number of children had certain requirements, and there was a lot of record-keeping and reporting that had to be done as well. And they were subject to inspections from time to time. I don't remember but would bet the day care would need to have in their files the shot records of the children attending the facility. Also the letters they send parents each year for their use in taking the tax credit that is available. At any rate, there should be many ways to figure out how many or how few kids were in attendance. And it wouldn't take very long at all to make a determination.

As to the fake break-in and stolen records. Why would anyone steal parent records, lol. Also, some of those records were likely pulled together for some purpose, such as a filing for a state agency. That agency will have the records. Also, a ton of records would also be maintained on computers. I admit to not reading the whole story and maybe it mentions the computer or computers were stolen as well. If they were stolen, there should be backups maintained if they were legit, and some records are also stored via the cloud or elsewhere.
