Blacks are only 4% of a state population of 7.8M people. Somali, or any African language for that matter, is not even in the top 10 non-English languages spoken in the state. Ukrainian is the non-English language spoken the least at 0.27% of the population.

It has not been a reliable newspaper for decades. But I do think that Minnesota has some really powerful political influencers behind the scenes. I have been reading a Minneapolis based blog, Powerline for years. A bunch of lawyers, nearly all conservative and knowledgeable. They often complained about how biased the Star Tribune was.

But then the George Floyd thing happened and later the trial of Derek Chauvin. As I watched that trial, I knew at least one of the regular posters there was attending the trial so I wanted their behind the scenes take. I was so disappointed in how they downplayed the egregious rulings in that case until I realized they too were afraid of the MOB coming after them, if they told the unvarnished truth.

Minnesota is in bad need of an enema and a high colonic to flush out the parasites.

So far as we know, the Biden Admin only focused on the children's meals program. Minnesota is a Dem. run state, where the most recent VP candidate is the Gov, and with two Dem. Senators -- one of whom certainly has designs on running for POTUS again. So it would not be surprising if the Biden DOJ was not enthusiastic about doing more than the bare minimum necessary to not be called out for doing nothing.

But all indications are that the Trump Admin. has made the problem in Minn. a priority.

But this kind of investigation takes time -- particularly when you are dealing with a highly insular community where getting informants is very problematic. If you don't have informants, then the investigation is a series of "guesses" about what will be productive, and then sending out GJ subpoenas to obtain records. That is usually a 30-60 day turnaround before the investigators can even begin to evaluate what the evidence shows.

This isn't a crime committed in the open on video. You have to develop EVIDENCE before you can get an ARREST WARRANT.
