Where the F has anyone in leadership in that State of Minnesota been on this? They seriously just do not care it appears. Wait, of course they don't, Tim Waltz is their Governor. Keith Ellison is their AG.

If you want to see how banana republics function, take a look at the idiocy in Minnesota.

I also think too many Minnesotans are just ignorant and dumb. Minnesota "nice" has drawbacks in that they refrain from confrontations.

Didn't used to be that way. Lived in northern Minnesota in 67/68. Very small school outside of Duluth. The classroom teaching was great and challenging. That was over 50 years ago, it is saddening how far that state's educational system has deteriorated.

I would assume every state has corruption to some degree. How damn hard would it be to briefly surveil every $$$-receiving location between 7-8 am and compare numbers??? Pass the suspect daycare to investigators and go on to the next one. It's our damn money, do your jobs."

Surprise spot audits AND prosecution are very effective at keeping businesses honest. The fraudsters will turn their attention elsewhere

Key is "AND prosecution".
In Democratic Party strongholds the judges and political leadership are probably corrupt, then throw in the likelihood of some jury members voting not guilty because the MSM has distorted their view on reality.
Very distressing.

Duluth area, "Rust Belt" in the NW corner of the state is different but electorally is far outweighed by the population centers of the Twin Cities. Duluth also has more of the Scandinavian roots still evident, at least the last time I was up in Minnesota. But that too was several decades ago.

Assuming this is fraud, who is teaching them how to do this? I have a hard time believing the people who can't properly form sentences in English in the videos are reading through the state's legal documents to figure this out.

It's always a perfectly regular American who is behind this scam. These Somalians are mere pawns in this game. They make money but someone else makes BIG money. Just like the other scam I usually talk about.

The real scammer would be a John, a Steve, a Peter, a Jim, something like that.
Edit: Or a TIM.

America has been open to be looted for decades.

Pro Tip: Follow the money.

I hate to make this about the fake news media but it is amazing.

NYT has covered it several times if you just cared to Google it. They also straight up said fears of racism allegations stymied actions from Democrats. From November:

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/29/us/fraud-minnesota-somali.html

Quote:

A report by Minnesota's nonpartisan Office of the Legislative Auditor about the lapses that enabled the meals fraud later found that the threat of litigation and of negative press affected how state officials used their regulatory power.

Kayseh Magan, a Somali American who formerly worked as a fraud investigator for the Minnesota attorney general's office, said elected officials in the state and particularly those who were part of the state's Democratic-led administration were reluctant to take more assertive action in response to allegations in the Somali community.

"There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue might cause political backlash among the Somali community, which is a core voting bloc" for Democrats, said Mr. Magan, who is among the few prominent figures in the Somali community to speak about the fraud.

As a trial in the meals fraud case was coming to a close last summer, an attempt to bribe a juror included an explicit insinuation about racism, prosecutors said. Several defendants in the trial were found to have arranged to send a bag containing $120,000 to a juror along with a note that read, "Why, why, why is it always people of color and immigrants prosecuted for the fault of other people?"

Mr. Thompson, a career prosecutor who served as interim U.S. attorney for several months this year, and who declined to discuss his own political preferences, said he believed that race sensitivities had played a major role in the rise of fraud.
As pandemic assistance was disbursed, the state was also reeling from the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer in May 2020, he said.

"This was a huge part of the problem," Mr. Thompson said during an interview in the summer. "Allegations of racism can be a reputation or career killer."

Mr. Walz, Minnesota's second-term governor who gained national attention last year as Kamala Harris's running mate in a White House bid, said this week that claims of racism did not hinder his administration's response to fraud.

Sitting here thinking about how much cheaper my kids daycare could be if millions in funds/year were redirected to their daycare (which is full of real kids) instead of being squandered on fraud.

This should be one of the easiest political wins of all time. Go after those that are doing this with the same force as they did for Jan 6th participants. If they aren't citizens send them back to their country tonight. If they are citizens put them in jail for the maximum amount of time allowable for each count of fraud.

Literally none of this matters unless there are consequences. If a judge can just throw **** out and then the GOP throws up its hands and says "well we tried" then that's par for the course.

The fact that almost no one expects anyone to go to prison or get deported says everything.

The comments on these posts are 100% negative for a reason.

Great cover if this was some underground crime ring.

This is not. It's being done in the wide open and has been going for years with regulators and inspectors either letting it slide out of incompentence or they are on the take as well.

Either way, your defense is no defense.

Odd take since both the Biden and Trump administrations have been investigating this for years. And maybe the state is full of stooges who don't know what they're doing or are complicit in it. And the feds generally stay tight-lipped about ongoing investigations until indictments are secured. People acting like this video spurred some kind of investigation all of the sudden are being mislead.

WOW. Ohio attorney Mehek Cooke CONFIRMS MASSIVE fraud in Ohio, another hotbed for Somalis

They run fake "home health" and bill $250,000 PER YEAR, per FAMILY, when no work is actually being done

She says it also happens in PENNSYLVANIA

"Audit America. Audit Ohio now. And I'm pushing for that in every single state!"

"The state will, as long as the doctor has approved it, continue to pay you. It could be for 10 hours, 12 hours, up to 24 when it's critical care."

"So you could sit at home without caring for an elderly parent who really doesn't need it, make about $75,000 to $90,000 a year. Now you add two parents, that's $180,000. Now you add your in-laws $250,000."

"You continue to add this and you wonder what are the services being provided? So a lot of providers came and said fraud is occurring because we said we weren't going to rubber stamp this paperwork."

"So they went to other providers, their home health care networks saying we'll make it worth your while. Well, sounds like a kickback to me."

"So we really need to investigate the Medicaid system and how much it's increased since the Somalian population came and who really needs critical care because that's meant for our disabled, our elderly and people who really need it, not to just live off our system."

"And that's what's happening in Ohio. I think it's ridiculous. I think it's despicable, but authorities are now looking at it from the Attorney General's office to the U.S. Attorney's office."

"I flagged them all because this is Ohio tax dollars and we have to take it seriously. I'm tired of people telling me, well, this is the way it's always been. It's subjective and we can't really check. No, you can."

Yes, much as we say that here, it is not the fault of the Somalis, as much as it is not the fault of H1Bs.

It is our own fault. They did not come in, we let them in. Even invited them in. There is always an American hand in all of this.

What a weird thing to fixate on and get distracted by.

Is it a problem? Yes.

Should it be addressed? Yes.

Should it take years to do? No.

Trying to claim some force shield from criticism by saying "it was being looked at" isn't a defense. It's just further evidence of a broken system.
