The court likes to wrap up the big cases at once. That is traditionally how it's been done.

So the big cases take the longest to write and resolve, and come near the end of a term. How not shocking.

They haven't been nearly as hard for the conservatives to write and resolve. The liberal judges are dragging their feet and its obviously for political reasons. Even when the conservative judges are threatened with assassination.

Who exactly started the trend of mid decade redistricting again? Maybe if this administration actually cared about doing things popular with the population instead of engineering political outcomes they wouldn't have been run over by the backlash.

This was done by popular vote unlike the bull**** in Texas. 75% of the Texas economy is now run by 4 or 5 districts - ironically all likely Democrats districts.

Redistricting was a huge gamble and it still could pay off but its going to require some courts help.

You mean like all the democrats that work at the energy and finance companies ? Those democrats running the economy ?

It's simply not accurate to say Virginia was doing this in response to what Texas did

California countered adding more Democrat seats in response to what Texas did so both those states cancelled each other out

The national Democrat Party wasn't satisfied with that and went for the jugular and went even further

Well, the reality is that Marxists don't quit until they run out of money or people. The Soviets died because they had no money at the end to defeat the Americans and the West. The Maoists will die off when they look like the Japanese in the next several decades and their people die off from no procreation and not enough women to provide that key service, all thanks to their disastrous one-daughter policy.

But here, as socialism/collectivism/communism/Marxism/Stalinism/Mamdaniism settles in, the deficit we already have will kill off their power sooner than they can believe. Amerika may come into play, but it won't be here too long. Then, the Civil War of Civil Wars will happen all over the Earth. Commies/Muslims vs Jews/Christians

With 72% of mail in ballots going in one direction and Fairfax not reporting any vote totals for over an hour. We all know that's how Dems pad the totals, as well as shave votes off of republican totals. 1-3% here and there to make it add up.

Virginia only had a referendum because they were required to. Make no mistake , 10-1 in a 55-45 state is BS as well.

The Republicans need to put this out all the time...

BUT, they also need to put out this comment on all their websites so it's documented.

Because the second the left wins, they will scrub as much of the internet as possible. No news stories, etc will be available via the web.

But if the right locks it in on their websites, the left and the media won't be able to hide it...

Virginia was in trouble when they elected an AG who thinks it's ok to kill Republicans and their children while believing an CIA candidate (i.e., trained liar) would be a moderate.

Go scorched earth. Now or never.

End the filibuster and push thru everything. Do it now.

The House is lost. Pour every dollar into senate races. Do it now.

Triple down on deportations. Do it now.

TN, IN, MO, OH, etc need to fully redistrict ala VA. Why wait? Do it now.

The democrat party is at war with America. So war it is.

Agree with Travis. Grow a set and stop being *******. Go for the jugular.

I am not surprised that a Virginia constitutional amendment allowing mid-decade congressional redistricting passed by a narrow margin of 50.7% -49.3%. This is the latest example of Democrats gerrymandering after accusing Republicans of doing the same thing. The Republicans need to stop the Democrats' destruction of this country.

Democrats started the whole thing.

It was started more than 200 yrs ago in Mass. by party of Democratic-Republicans, which became parent to the modern Dem Party when it fractured in 1820s.

It's being going on a long time.

Connecticut: 5 of 5 dem
Illinois: 14 of 17 dem
Maryland: 7 of 8 dem
Massachusetts: 9 of 9 dem
Oregon: 5 of 6 dem
Washington: 8 of 10 dem

What are the actual ratios of voters in those states?

Also don't forget the following:

1. Twenty years ago, blue states started the national pact to usurp the electoral college process which Virginia just joined a few days ago.

2. They rigged the 2020 census rewarding blue states with more reps than deserved and red states with fewer reps than deserved. They will do it again in 2030.

Anyone on this thread that says Texas or Republicans started this is a gaslighting clown. The worst thing about the Republicans in all of this is their usual **** response as they sit by and watch the Democrats take what they want.

As of March 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked an order to redraw New York's congressional maps, allowing the state to use its existing map for the 2026 elections. While a lower court initially found the 11th Congressional District unconstitutional due to minority vote dilution, the Supreme Court halted this change.

So no, New York tried to do something and was blocked by the Court. Then Texas redrew its maps because Trump told them to. This resulted in California doing the same to cancel out Texas.
Virginia is just joining the game that Texas, not New York, started because New York was blocked from doing anything

You support a party that literally changed its position on immigration 15 years ago because they realized it was the only way they could ever win. Import illegals and refuse to enforce immigration laws despite the constitutional duty to do so, and then count these third world leaches as part of the census in order to manipulate the congressional numbers despite the fact that that's not what the founders intended at all.

They are the absolute scum of the earth.

Look at the numbers someone already posted. Multiple Dem led states have done this for decades, and yet you're pretending it doesn't count because it didn't happen recently. The cognitive dissonance of the left never surprises anyone anymore.

This will be an interesting one to watch. With a state split as evenly as this one, to gerrymander this hard, it'll make the Dem majority pretty slim in most of these districts.

Not all gerrymandering is created equal. If you do what Texas did and make the gerrymandering similar to the actual vote split, you should be ok. Going for the home run 10-1 like VA is doing is dangerous.

I agree with that. Beat them at their own game.

The childish 'blame Texas' game holds no water.

Florida should go next, and then the VRA states if the communist justices ever release their opinions or somehow Roberts grows a spine. Still a chance this gets tossed in court, as well.

You so badly want to ignore what has been going down in Illinois, California and the other leftist states since the 1990s.

Not everything has been about Trump. This effort in Virginia certainly isn't about him even though he's serving as the cover excuse to strip representation away from Republican areas.

It is about control. When Trump goes, this power grab will stay unless the courts step in.

Stop lying to yourself. Stop using Trump as an excuse to deny rights to those outside the Unelected Bureaucracy and the Surveillance State.
