Heck, if we had Frimpong up front for Salah and Bradley at RB with Szo in midfield at least we would have some pace and better control/attacking options.

To me, this is the biggest problem. We simply don't have enough pace in our attack to worry the opposition. I think we look much better when Frimpong plays, but unfortunately he can't stay healthy.
Just remembering what MU did at MC a couple weeks ago. Just night and day difference here.

I agree, but we just don't have any other options right now. Bringing on Jones for Salah and going to a 4-4-2/diamond in midfield is about it. You do that though and I'm afraid we'd get slaughtered on the sides.

Oh I agree. We are completely outclassed and way less depth. MU has pace and scorers up front and that's the big difference.

I think VAR and the procedures surround it are partially to blame for this problem.
The refs are just swallowing their whistles and letting the game play out. The idea is to let the game flow and let VAR clean up anything they missed. This has allowed players to push the boundaries of physicality, which in turn makes it impossible for VAR to determine a threshold of excessive physical play.
Refs need to start whistling excessive contact early and stop relying on VAR to bail them out.
Could not agree more. It's so bad. As soon as VAR was introduced it gave referees an out to simply just swallow their whistles in every spot.

It's like y'all have never watched a Liverpool game in the last 7-8 years. Salah is usually non existent for large portions of the game, he then pops up when gets a half yard of space and creates magic. The trade off is he doesn't defend

This isnt the same Mo. The old Mo was fast and incredibly strong for his size. He would fly past people on the wing and then hold off much bigger players with ease....like a real life mighty mouse. This Mo has below average pace and falls down when physically challenged in any way. The dude is incredibly washed.
I'll will add, as much as I'm hating on Mo, if Hugo would have finished one of his easy chances we would be winning.

We dominated this game in the second half by playing on the front foot. We have a bad habit of letting teams back in the game after we take a lead because we play too passive. Its been a feature of the Slot era. It worked well last year, but has been really problematic this year.
