Good season. Spurs didn't have much of a shot once they let OKC get away with the number of goal tends in game 4 and 5. The second half officiating tonight was embarrassing for basketball - basketball fans got robbed of at least a game 7 if not a much more exciting close tonight.

unfreaking believable. when I moved here 3.5 years ago this team was ****, terrible, but you could see the potential was there. it's been incredible watching this team grown. losing to LA two years ago, we learned from them. losing to Dallas last year, we learned from Dallas. And this series has taught these young guys a lot about how to play like a champion from a team who's dominated for a decade.
4 more W's to finish the process. Great series Spurs fans, enjoyed the discussion throughout. i hope you will get behind us for the finals.

Congrats to OKC. I hope you sweep whomever comes out of the East. That 2nd half officiating left such a sour taste that I doubt I'll watch the Finals.
I will be rooting for the C's if they make it, only cause one of my best friend's is a Boston fan and have started following them a little bit...but OKC all the way if the Heat make it.
Gotta give OKC credit. They played great in the second half. They did what they needed to win, that is what great teams do. Durant is a beast. These guys will be a handful for years to come if they stay together.
The refs sucked. I am sorry but they sucked. That is not why the Spurs lost, but you don't need to see phantom fouls called in big time games like this one. That is inexcusable and they need to be held accountable.
I wish the Spurs could replicate Jack 5 times over. Dude is a baller. Hope he gets another chance in the silver and black.

There is no question the home team was favored down the stretch. But that happens. And it isn't the reason OKC beat the Spurs tonight.
Ownership wanted to update Key arena. Powers that be didn't want to do it. So the owners sold the team.
As a Laker fan, I echo what Padhz said. When we dropped them in 2010 I knew it wasn't going to happen again. I actually thought they'd win last year; they just ran into a white-hot Dirk. Get used to it folks. The Decade of Durant has begun. They aren't going anywhere for a long, long time. I expect a Jordan-like stretch of titles.
The Celtics, Lakers, and Spurs time is done for the time being.

you don't know this team, it's not like this was an 8 seed winning the WCF, this was a team that was picked by most to make the finals, and win before the season. they know what their goal and expectation is, and tonight isn't the peak.
I don't understand the Spurs fans resentment to the Thunder. I hate Derek Fisher as much as I hate any other POS, but this team is Durant's team and Durant is an amazing player. I would sure rather see Durant with the Finals trophy over LeBron or Garnett.
This is a good team that was built through the draft and smart acquisitions by someone that learned under Pop. They play well and they do it with youth, athleticism, great shooting and solid defense.

I don't have anything against the Thunder, just become a semi-Boston fan by default. To put in other words, I would root for Boston but wouldn't dislike seeing OKC take it.

The Thunder were my second-favorite NBA team before this series. I like they way they're put together and I like the way they play. I knew this series was going to be tough for the Spurs to win, and I'm not surprised at the result, just how it happened.

I was thinking about the way the series had turned after Game 5 and wondered what would have happened had the Thunder taken Game 1.
I think the adjustments made after Games 1 and 2 made the difference for OKC. But if they had stolen one game in SA, I wonder if they would have made those adjustments before it was too late.
OKC fans have known about that trailer for months...it's terrible. I thought it already went straight to DVD....guess I was wrong.
Just realized Durant played 48 minutes. What a luxury.

OKC will not be able to score on either the Heat or the Celtics like they could in this series. Let's see if they can grind their way to 4 wins.
While they may not drop 110 a game, they'll get better than the 80s. They won't have to grind their way to wins if the celtics or the heat can't get out of the 80s. It's not like the spurs play s**** defense, the heat give up just 3 less per game. The way the thunder are playing, I'd be surprised if they didn't score 100, or close to it every night.
Now what the heck is he going to do with all this stuff?
