I'm getting spoiled by all these early game big leads.

Nothing to cheer for. They are in full tank mode as fans, need the best pick possible.

Splitter with the active hands tonight. Good to see.

61 points and no one is in double figures. Insane.

Up 32 with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd. Look for the 5 on the floor to increase the lead in the 4th. Heat just went down again, this time to the Nuggets.

Love the way Baynes takes it to the rim.

Pop won't be happy with the 26-point 3rd quarter by the Lakers.

Had hoped for 40 point lead but this is good enough.

I don't care that they're struggling/shorthanded/tanking. I enjoy destroying LA very much.

They're too bad to tank. They don't have a choice in losing at this point.

Bit if a dogfight with the Jazz right now. We're shooting 58% and they are shooting 52%.

Ball movement has been great tonight. Jazz are just playing a very good game. Have to give them credit.

Defense has been pretty disinterested tonight. Derrick Favors is playing like an All Star tonight as well.

OKC down big to Mavs. One game closer to first place.

Interesting to hear Sean say he would rather play Houston than LA come playoff time. I know a lot of people disagree with that thought.

Maybe it's due to their core not having more than this season to gel. Miami's core to a season before getting it all in line.

Neither team is strikes me as a death knell, and they have some similarities. Terrible defensive back courts backed up by serious shotblockers. Harden/Paul are the top two floppers in the game, but great guards otherwise. Not much in the way of great three point shooting for either team. The Clippers' best players tend to have more flaws, but they also have the better coach which has translated to a slightly better defensive efficiency and a noticeably better offensive efficiency compared to Houston.

I think I'd rather play LAC because they have more obviously exploitable players and the Rockets regular season sweep is a cause for mild concern, but either team will be a tough out for anyone. Actually, looking through the standings, Dallas and Memphis are the only ones that aren't cause for real concern.

And even though I think we beat MEM in a series, I don't want such a physical team as a first round opponent.

Gimme dallas.

We seem to have had LAC's number for years so I wouldn't mind matching up against them.

If we get the Rockets, I'm not too worried because their defense is no good and McHales is a joke.

I think we'll win a series against LAC or Houston, however I like our matchup against the Clips better because we've done a good job over the years of stopping teams of their ilk; get out and run and get transition buckets. Even back when Phoenix was running up and down the court, Pop knows how to slow teams like that down and make them play a half court game. Griffin is much improved and Paul can set guys up, but they still don't run a very efficient half court set. They don't have anyone that can just get their own shot whenever they want and they don't have amazing shooters all over the floor to keep the defense spaced. Neither LAC nor Houston play great defense, but with Harden, Howard, and their 3 point shooting, the Rockets present a more difficult matchup for us defensively.

Houston this year reminds me of Golden State last year. They can beat anyone if the 3 is falling but they struggle with their identity when it isn't. Howard has the makings of the superstar he once was and we know Harden can make some really ridiculous plays (and pays the refs well ).

Ultimately with the way we are playing now I think we can take anyone.

FWIW, here's a few stats from regular season to playoffs before I got bored of it.

Heat vs (regular, playoffs) 2013
Bucks: 3-1, 4-0
Bulls: 2-2, 4-1
Pacers: 1-2, 4-3
Spurs: 2-0, 4-3

Spurs vs (regular, playoffs) 2013
Lakers: 2-1, 4-0
Warriors: 2-2, 4-2
Grizzlies: 2-2, 4-0
Heat: 0-2, 3-4

Heat vs (regular, playoffs) 2012
Knicks: 3-0, 4-0
Pacers: 3-1, 4-2
Celtics: 1-3, 4-3
Thunder: 1-1, 4-1

Last year we split the season series with the Warriors and Grizz but handled both 4-2 and 4-0 in the playoffs. We went 0-2 versus the Heat and were 6 seconds from handling them too. This is what makes me laugh when the Rockets are practically begging to have us in the playoffs.

Still hurts. It's like an open wound, and thinking about it is like throwing salt in it.
