One of the things I love about what Stone did in this draft was get 4 guys who are all 19 years old and will have the opportunity to bond and grow together. Hell, we know Christopher and Green are already buds. I really like the mixture of youth coming in to pair with guys who are "young" in their own right (KPJ and Wood).
Would still like to see us make an effort to trade Gordon and possibly Wall even if the latter is through a buyout.
I'm impressed. All of the draft grades I'm seeing are saying the Rockets killed it. Good start to the rebuild!
Sounds like the consensus is Stone killed it last night. Should be a lot of fun watching these young guys grow.
Huge injection of youth into the roster the past year with still a lot of draft capital to continue to build with. Stone should have a lot of flexibility to continue to maneuver and trade.
Thinking back to the time of the Harden trade, it is pretty unbelievable how well things have broken for the Rockets to get to this point. I wouldnt have expected to have a potential superstar to build around with so many other young guys already around him.

Not arguing, genuinely ignorant here, who are you referring to as potential superstar? Christian Wood seems to get a lot of run here, but I'm assuming you're referring to Green?
He seems like the logical pick at 2, but I'm really unplugged with basketball these days.

Christian Wood could certainly develop into a 'superstar,' and Green is widely regarded has having superstar potential. Highest ceiling in the draft, but not as polished as Cunningham.Bulldog73 said:

You never know how well a draft will really turn out, but on paper that was a fantastic evening for the Rockets. TONS of potential across the board. Stone needs to make sure he is ready to develop young players, the Rockets haven't had that as a focus for a long time.
Just added Theis for 4yrs 36 million. He's never made over 5 million a season and I'm not sure what he did last year to earn the pay bump. Seems like an overpay....

Brought nwaba back for 3 years at 15 million. That seems like a decent deal.
Not fully guaranteed and that's a very tradeable contract for a defensive big that can somewhat space the floor
Looks like we are using olidipo's trade exception to add Theis to preserve the MLE. The bulls will sign and trade him for cash to generate their own trade exception. Seems like a smart move by Stone.

Guys, I think we may have had a really good draft.
Sengun and Green are as advertised, I was expecting them to look good (maybe not quite this good). But Christopher has been a surprise. Super athletic.
Garuba finalized his buyout yesterday. We might get him in at least 1 summer league game. Looking forward to see how he fits in with the other 19 year olds.
"I feel like I handled it pretty well," Green told the Houston Chronicle. "I could have handled it a lot better. I was trying to get my teammates involved. I know I had a lot of turnovers (four.) But I was still trying to get everyone involved and not make it a one-on-one battle between me and Cade. I could have turned around and did that for myself, but we end up getting the win so that's all that matters."
We still have 3 games left and I'm sure he will be in Vegas tonight. I bet he plays in at least 2

Sengun has some Luis Scola in his game.
His lack of explosive athleticism can be easily countered by great footwork and hustle.

This draft is looking like not just a home run but a grand slam right now. Lots of great young players. Cunningham and Green are going to be great to watch progress through the years. I love Cunningham, would have been super happy if we got him. He plays very smooth, shades of Harden and Durant. Not sure if it's the best comparison but when I watch Green he reminds me of Westbrook, just wants to put the pedal to the floor. Might not look as polished as other guys, but the will is there. After Harden jumped ship the last thing I want on this team is a guy who doesn't have will when he's on the floor, Green looks to be the anti-Harden in that regard.
