not sure which is uglier Mr.Bond. Being mentioned in the same breath as the astros, or the fact that with tonight's win they now have their first 3 game win streak of the year (basically 2 months into the season).

At least they played well for the 2004 squad tonight. Was cool hearing millar, pedro, and manny talking with don and steve lyons during the game on nesn

The Rangers sure are great at letting talent go. Even Kinsler and Murphy are doing pretty well.

Huge comeback win for the Sox tonight with the assistance from the atrocious Braves D the final 2 innings...to go from 10 straight L's to a 4 game sweep of the Braves is big, and the Jays finally lose a game!

My only real issue with the Jays is that they play to empty seats.

His last ML start was in 2011! He got called up tonight for a spot start. I've not seen him shake off AJ once and he is just sharp.

Sounds like Price and company agreed with me. The Sox started the skirmish the other day, and the Rays came back with the inside stuff.

Oh well. At the end of the day, the important thing is who wins.

price hitting Ortiz had nothing to do with last week's antics from escobar. He hit Ortiz because he was upset that Papi took him deep twice in last year's division series, and lingered at home plate longer than price felt he should've on the 2nd one (ridiculous thinking though, because the ball was long gone and right down the line, so Ortiz should've stayed at home until being given the fair signal).

It's always someone else's fault. Got it.

It's almost like Chowdah didn't quote Ortiz as saying Price apologized for talking out of turn. And then accused him of headhunting in the next sentence.

It's almost like the Red Sox dugout was completely silent when Escobar stole third base, and Jonny Gomes traced delightful little patterns in left field with his toe.

I like the phrase "bad actors," since it can be used a couple of different ways. Doing stupid stuff is acting badly, and pretending you had nothing to do with it is just bad acting.

Price apologized for his twitter rant because he was wrong. If you don't think you're wrong, don't apologize, wait for your next chance to drill him on the field, and be done with it. It should have ended with the apology. Ortiz called him out because he said one thing and did another.

Whether or not he was wrong to take 3rd in a decided game last sunday, the Sox believed it to be wrong. He did it, they let him know they thought it was garbage (it should end there). Then he does his little "pull off my helmet, point in the dugout" tough guy routine, so Gomes gives him a little shove, escobar waits till there's 20 guys between them then tries to fight back (at that point it should've been over again).

FF to friday, price hits ortiz for the homers from the division series but the HP ump misreads the situation and thinks it's from a week ago and issues warnings before the Sox were able to hit a ray.

Then he compounds the mistake by not running price for the Carp HBP (which was unintentional, but still deserved an ejection because the rays already got their freebie and sending him to the showers automatically satisfies the Sox and cools off the entire situation).

Bottom line, glad Boston decided winning the games were more important these past 2 days and did nothing further to re-ignite the feud.

This Alchimadus guy totally gets it.

Funny. According to you, the two times it should've been over were 1) after the Red Sox started talking and 2) after Gomes ran from left field, through the third base coach, to shove Escobar. Maybe we all would have been better off had it ended before one of those two things occurred. But apparently the onus is on the Rays to keep their cool.

AK there should be able to be a reaction to an action. The reason I said it should've been over when I did was because each time the rays acted, the Sox, in turn, rightfully reacted. So yeah if the rays truly wanted it to be over with, they should've stopped acting after the react.

The Sox would've been at fault if they had initiated something following the Gomes shove

I tell my four year old, and the fourteen year olds, to not be dumb enough as to be the one "reacting." Invariably, the second one escalates the situation and gets into more trouble than anyone should have.
