And Damon was nowhere near the face of the team.

They both deserve to get booed heavily. Ells chose to sign with the sub-human "organization" down in the bronx. I don't begrudge him his payday, he earned the chance to get to FA (didn't deserve that contract but whatever, glad the mfy are overpaying), but if you sign with the rival, you deserve to get booed in Boston. That's the way it should be, regardless of what he did in a Red Sox uniform.
If he had done the right thing and signed anywhere else, then yeah he should get an ovation (like the one damon got when he came back with cleveland), but he chose to sell his soul to the devil. He should be made to know it.
As for capt america, **** that broken down has been. Let him get his ovations and token gifts from every other city he visits on his last lap around the league. He should never be applauded in Boston. I don't want Ortiz getting an ovation when he steps into the batter's box for the last time at new mfy toilet.
The hatred should always be flowing through the 2 fan bases. It may not be "classy", but rivalries are supposed to be heated. Otherwise, they'd just be another opponent on the schedule.

That's my personal opinion about ortiz and the 2nd part was a generalization about the way the majority of rival fan bases act towards the other (and that's what I agree with)

I fully get it, I just don't like it and it's not what i would do
