ive never heard the name Arauz before.... Yet there are players with that name on both sides of the deal

Exactly. We just massively improved by trading away a guy we hopes becomes Giles, an apparent busted pick, and a second rounder who projects as back of the rotation.
I'm happy.

Jonathan Arauz, only 17, was ranked as the Phillies fifth-best infield prospect by MLB.com. Arauz was the youngest player in the Gulf Coast League in 2015 in what was his first professional season, committing just three errors in 44 combined games at shortstop and second base. He hit .254 for the season with 10 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 18 RBIs.

For me it's Bogar and Vizcaino.

Since Fisher isn't apart of the Giles trade, where do we think he starts the year? Double A? Any chance we see him get a call up this year?

Seriously? Mark is a great guy and a friend of mine. Just because he hasn't lived up to his potential yet on the baseball diamond doesn't mean you can call him that.
He's arguably the 2nd best trade chip in a trade to get us a pitcher with the lowest career ERA in his first 100 innings in MLB history. He's clearly worth something or else he wouldn't have replaced Fisher in the deal.
quote:He hasn't exactly been a pro very long. I don't know where you're getting any of that from.
The problem with fisher is while he is a "tools" guy, he's never really stood out and had any big production years. I think he's a couple of years away and at that he may top out as a 4th outfielder. Unless of course he figures out how to use his tools to be more affective on the field

Astros GM Jeff Luhnow tells the Houston Chronicle's Evan Drellich that he thinks his club is "going to look at either bringing in another pitcher for the rotation or a bat of some sort" as the next item on the offseason to-do list. As Drellich notes, the Astros have enough financial space and roster depth to make any number of moves to address their needs.

Doesn't sound like anything else big will happen from that report.

Mark is a great guy. Doesn't change what he said or how much of a let down he was during his time in Houston.

The Astros would "definitely like to bring in another starter," owner Jim Crane said yesterday, as Jose de Jesus Ortiz tweets (video link). Houston has real interest in Yovani Gallardo, could potentially match up on Mike Leake, and remains interested in a reunion with Scott Kazmir, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports. The team doesn't appear to be moving on Kenta Maeda, he adds, and it wouldn't be a surprise if GM Jeff Luhnow and co. decide to wait out the market and "bargain hunt."

Yay for bargain hunting
