From my in laws who are big Rangers fans, so pretty thankful
My parents framed up a bunch of Biggio memorbilia I've collected over the years. Looks awesome on my wall.
I was hoping there'd be a legit corner infielder with playoff experience who bats .285 with 30 HRs and 100+ RBIs under the tree, but all I got was an Astros Tervis tumbler.
I got a fitted Astros hat. Solid blue.

You're getting Chapman and a 1st round pick next draft after he turns down the QO, so I think it's a really good trade for NYY.

How would a possible suspension affect that? I read something that if he ended serving more than a 45-day suspension he wouldn't receive his 6 years of service and thus not be eligible to be a FA.

So that just leaves Chen and Gallardo as the only available SP worth a ****? And they both cost a draft pick to sign.
Our starting five is very good, but not stellar. And our system has become very weak with top of the line pitching. We don't have any players in the system who seem to have the potential for a top 1-3 rotation guy. Guys like Wojo, Devenski, and Feliz are back of the rotation guys at best.
so I fully expect us to pick up a starter or two, whether its a back of the rotation guy or organizational depth.
Next year's draft needs to be pitching, catching, and corner infield. And that's it.

Why? We have pennies in salary commitments for the next 2-3 years. This wouldn't impact most/all of our young arbitration guys. Plus, he got an opt out after next year, so there's a chance he's back on the market and off their books after 1 season.
That's stupid money for Kazmir.

I would really like us to sign Tim Lincecum. Give him a one year contract. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good and he'll have a resurrection year. If nothing else he could come out of the pen as a long reliever. Any other thoughts on this?
