Arizona state is good. No excuses but did we catch the hottest teams in softball the last two seasons in our regional?
Lol. Liberty didn't advance after our regional last year. ASU lost to sips backup pitcher today.

Liberty had a pitcher last year who is pitching in the pros this year. Arizona State lost late after knocking Kavan out of the game. Gutierrez is an ace for 95% of all NCAA softball rosters. What are you even trying to say?

ASU has Kavan figured out. I can't see White starting her again tomorrow and I don't think Gutierrez starts tomorrow. I'm guessing they will go with the true freshman Wells.

I'm afraid Arizona State doesn't generate enough offense to beat tu again.

Texas doesn't really have a set No. 2. Kavan has pitched more innings than the other 4 combined. Citaly has better numbers than Hannah on the mound over more innings, but I bet Teagan is going to pitch most of the game even if she doesn't start.

All Wells does is win. Crazy how one little 3A softball program can turn out the kind of players that Cohoma has/is.

OU has 7 of their starters with an OPS over 1.200 and 3 innings left to overcome the 4-0 deficit at home against Miss. State in game 3.

I wouldn't bet against them but certainly hoping for the worst for the Sooners.

Liberty did not even make it past the Supers. That's what I'm trying to say. And there's nothing consoling about losing to Arizona State. Sips tied for 4th-6th place in the SEC this year too. Stop making excuses for losing to inferior programs. It's what yall do nonstop.

Who exactly is "yall"? We'll see how "inferior" ASU is considering they were an inning away from eliminating Texas yesterday. Funny how the SEC standings matter to you this year considering A&M won the conference last year. Not here for moral victories, but having a grasp on how formidable opponents are in regionals/super regionals isn't an irrational take. But people like "yall" who read box scores and think they understand programs seasons and deem it a failure is a cheap and lazy take. Misery loves company.

Doubt they even care about softball. They are just using it as a means to display their BAS.

I just wonder what his end game/goal is. Like does he get his rocks off by getting coaches fired? If so, why? I doubt us winning in softball makes his life THAT much better. But I don't know.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but we did not "win the conference" last year. We finished 2nd, 1/2 game out of first and were awarded a tournament "co-championship" by the conference when the tournament final was rained out.

Agree with everything you said! Just like reminding the bleeders it's just as easy to celebrate any season as much as it is to look at it as a failure. Guess I'm setting myself up to be called a sunshine pumper…

Yeah, as I said, not trying to pick a fight with you. There are a lot of really good things going on with the program, and a conference tournament co-championship is one of them. I was even more impressed by earning the national #1 seed last season and earning 3 straight national seeds.

It's a tournament co championship. That's how the SEC lists it on their website.

Looks like it's a good thing I'm not a softball coach. She had some close calls at times but she has pitched like the all American that she is. Kudos to her.

First ever super regionals win in game 1 (after being down 6-2 in the 6th before coming back to win 11-9) and now the Bulldogs' first CWS appearance in program history - according to Reddit.

Definitely fun stuff.

Love the variety in this field, love the Tu/TU matchup; the others are going to be offensive games unless the wind is blowing in. Oh, I miss the days of coaching there and then heading to the Independence Day in CO!

So Piper White made it officially official. And now Munnerlyn is in the portal. I wonder if these girls are seeing 1.) what's coming in or 2.) no clear path to being a weekly starter. Or…both? Guess TF and Co. are going to get a real chance to show us that they can win the portal and recruit out of HS. Two significant aspects of getting the program over the hump.

That leaves room for 6 in the portal

With only 4 seniors next year and 7 commits for the following year. I would expect 3 or 4 senior/grad transfers and couple of younger transfers to balance the tiny sophomore class.

Of course you have to get the right players regardless of year but to me 4 seniors and 2 sophomores would be optimal

In terms of positions after 2 pitchers I think you take the best bats and figure out who plays where later. A power hitting 3rd baseman and power speed combo outfielder seem to be the need but I think some players could move around if the positions fall differently

As far as position players go, I think it all depends on what we plan to do with AK. If she wants to stay behind the dish, we need a 3B, if she wants to play 3rd, we need a catcher. Personally, I think we need an OF more than anything right now.

LOL. You goobers are hilarious. I went to A&M and stayed in Moore Hall, unfortunately. And you know I'm right when I simply say we need 2 elite pitchers and we have none.
