Something to keep in mind as we head into the regionals. For me, I'm not overly concerned about giving up runs as much as I am about getting those hits that score runs.

While I agree, it would be nice to be able to win a 3-2 game every once in a while. That is simply not the case right now. This offense has to feel like they need 8 runs or better every game. And don't get me wrong, not all of that is just on the pitchers. We have had plenty of defensive miscues that have contributed to giving up a bunch of runs also.

We did beat Carolina 2-1 and the week prior beat Mississippi state in a couple low scoring games.

I see where you're coming from though. This year more than most, it seems like they are susceptible to giving up big innings. When pitching falters, it seems like it just collapses.

Such is the momentum in softball. I don't know why but it is so big in this sport. Once a team gets rolling it is almost impossible to stop. It just needs to be us that gets it going in the next few weeks.

100%. Every post in the last few days can be traced back to pitching. Ford has had one true ace in her career (Kennedy) and she handled her really well. It sucks that she struggled against Liberty last year but it is what it is. One time is not a trend. Lets see if we can get another stud in the circle and see what happens. Now, if she in unable to recruit a big time arm, we may have to revisit things.

It's going to take some money to get a top notch arm out of the portal and I don't think softball has enough.

Our RPI stays flat at 16 after yesterday's loss to Auburn. I figured we would drop a few spots. That is really good news. I'm warming to us hosting. My forecast for us hosting since the end of the Auburn game has gone from 10% to 30% and now I'll raise it to 60%. I'm a roller coaster.

All the experts seem to think we are safe to host. I am less confident but still in 75% chance range. RPI is so out of whack this year. How does the 7th place team in the league have the top RPI?

DSR fell to 15 after the loss so still in host range but moving down the chart

If we get to host a regional, I'm not going to ***** about our super regional match up. It doesn't matter. They are all good and at the WCWS you better be good or it's two and BBQ.

I don't believe that we don't have funds similar to Georgia and they got one of the transfers I really wanted this last cycle.
