I don't know when the "good ole days" officially came to an end. Probably sometime in the 80's or early 90's at the latest. But you sir probably have much better memories and more interesting stories to tell than most of us on here who went to school during in the age of technology, surplus, and cushy facilities. I'm in the minority, but even 25 years ago when I was there, I would rather have had your version of Aggieland. Appreciate you sharing little tidbits like that.

This and you notice tonight they still don't discount soft drinks.
They make more profit on sodt drinks than anything else.
$12 for a soft drink is insane.
If there is a game tonight tut they should say , bring in a cup , free soft drinks.
Most restaurants biggest markups are on side drinks .
Napkins literally cost more than soft drinks.

I think so. I just pay and don't look. We don't buy beer or soda so the occasional food/candy isn't too ridiculous.

Yep. I can see the water tower. Really rough weather around Waller and Hempstead but it hasn't been too bad on the way north on Highway 6

Yes I did. Me and the wife brought the baby and after a couple of hours of waiting we decided to head back. She said as long as I helped her clean the house I could come back for a night start

Those dishes and countertops didn't stand a chance

So when I was a student, I lived at Treehouse Apartments on Marion Pugh, pretty much spitting distance from Olsen. Only in the shadow of Calloway House parking garage, which made my experience not so great.

When I came back from Thanksgiving break, the roof of the building had caved in, and I didnt notice until the day after. I ended up leaving that place and getting out of my lease due to obvious [reasons]. Good times.

I met my wife there, at Olsen, though, so it wasn't all bad.

For concessions...I have had this idea that they should sell a yearly limited edition cup that has free refills all year. Maybe $100? But for those that go to lots of games, it would be worth it.

And if you disagree with this idea, don't f*ckin buy it!

As for me...I would buy it.

That's actually about what I was thinking. Fortunately for me, that was the year of my first Aggie football game as a youngster. A glorious, cold and rainy win over the sips to send us to the Cotton Bowl.

Treehouse apartments are getting razed, if they have not already. It's been emptying out for some time

Approval of a prospective Saturday doubleheader shall be limited to circumstances where there is a high
likelihood that weather will not permit a game to be played on Sunday.

Yesterday it looked like there was a window to get this game in.
