For concessions...I have had this idea that they should sell a yearly limited edition cup that has free refills all year. Maybe $100? But for those that go to lots of games, it would be worth it.

And if you disagree with this idea, don't f*ckin buy it!

As for me...I would buy it.

Just like football the refill station would be empty...

So when I was a student, I lived at Treehouse Apartments on Marion Pugh, pretty much spitting distance from Olsen. Only in the shadow of Calloway House parking garage, which made my experience not so great.

When I came back from Thanksgiving break, the roof of the building had caved in, and I didnt notice until the day after. I ended up leaving that place and getting out of my lease due to obvious [reasons]. Good times.

I met my wife there, at Olsen, though, so it wasn't all bad.

Treehouse apartments are getting razed, if they have not already. It's been emptying out for some time

May your marriage last longer than the Treehouse Apts!

I am not surprised. It was a ****hole back in 2007, too. I think my rent was $400/mo and I lived with a roommate and his cat (who turned out to be my best friend for life).

And yea, my marriage is going pretty good. You gotta marry an Aggie. I wouldn't have it any other way. Aggie women are absolutely amazing.

Are the teams actually mandated to stay in the locker rooms/ball park the whole time? I have no idea I just realized. I figured they were but I honestly don't know for sure.

I don't know when the "good ole days" officially came to an end. Probably sometime in the 80's or early 90's at the latest. But you sir probably have much better memories and more interesting stories to tell than most of us on here who went to school during in the age of technology, surplus, and cushy facilities. I'm in the minority, but even 25 years ago when I was there, I would rather have had your version of Aggieland. Appreciate you sharing little tidbits like that.

The good ol days ended after 1993. HTH

1997 thank you very much good sir...

Or they should've moved this game to 11 AM and at least gotten a few innings in

You on your way back to CS?

Yep. I can see the water tower. Really rough weather around Waller and Hempstead but it hasn't been too bad on the way north on Highway 6

tjack you're a good Ag. Did I read where you drove up from Katy, drove back home, and driving back up to CSTAT?

Yes I did. Me and the wife brought the baby and after a couple of hours of waiting we decided to head back. She said as long as I helped her clean the house I could come back for a night start

Those dishes and countertops didn't stand a chance

Red ass! Actually makes me think I could make it back there from Leander by the 2nd inning…. But nah I'm not as red ass.

You know POS wanted to be on the bus going home hours ago. I wonder if Earley is doing this on purpose to draw it out as long as possible to make them wait in that visitors dugout forever and fume!!

both teams have been at the ballpark all day.

Figured but wasn't sure if that was an actual rule. Think it would be as a courtesy to the visitors. If not, I would have gone back to my room and crashed out if I were a player long ago.

Not going to lie, if it wasn't against Texas I probably would've just said it is what it is and stayed home

But if somebody who was driving home from Omaha when the news broke in 2024… I gotta be there in person at least one day this weekend

We supposedly told him that we were not cancelling unless it was physically impossible to start but that he was welcome to forfeit.

People should be able to transfer now. I am not for sure it will with just what I'm being told.

And discounted concessions

They should bring back $1 hotdog night tonight!

Those should honestly be prices every game. What a rip off.

I wish more teams would look at the Altanta Braves model of fair pricing at the ballpark. I know their scale is much different but even so, $2 dogs and $5 beers every night.

Do it NASCAR-style. Bring in anything you want(beer okay, no hard stuff) booze & food, coolers on wheels, no charge. You run out. You buy from the concessions stands.

That was my point. Don't NEED approval for a DH if you don't actually WANT a DH.

The head coaches are not soley in charge of those decisions.
SEC has final say, AD's then coaches.
This not is like little league where 2 coaches are trying to figure out what to do.
Schloss and Earley are more or less told whats gonna happen, not really making any decisons.

Is that when TK got beaned in the head?

No, that was his next at bat. Loaded the bases. (A&M leading 7-6 at the time, bottom of the 7th)

If our visitors locker rooms are anything like a photo I saw during football season (TAMU equipment manager Twitter) it's a steel folding chair in front of a locker/cubby.

They're uncomfortable as hell.

Are there requirements for amenities that have to be in the visitor locker room? For example a chair, but you can pick any kind of chair you want?

It's kind of weird though, I was a transient who spent my Freshman year at Texas Tech. I didn't know much about A&M, but one night I couldn't sleep and spent way too much time on TexAgs. I was enthralled by the Bonfire thread and at 4 or 5am ended up at Bonfire Memorial hours before it's official dedication.

It was a really foggy morning that day. I will always remember that morning. But I learned a lot.

I put my hands on the bronze and was just transported to another place. I knew this place was special at that time, right then.

I think that's what made me an Aggie.

I still think about Tim Kerlee, and his selflessness, all of the time, may God rest his soul.

It's been about 17 years since I was seeing food/bev profit/cost numbers but soda syrup was running at a cost in the single digits (cents)...
Just ballparking it now and looks like it's around 40-50 cents per 12oz drink...
