I know we can't resume after midnight for a stoppage. I don't think there's a rule on when the last inning can start so long as the play has been continuous. I'll look

10 isn't the start time.

It's the latest a game can start per SEC rules.

Per SEC:
"In the event of a rain-delay prior to the beginning of play on Sunday, the game must begin at least two hours and thirty minutes prior to the visiting team's scheduled departure time from the field (if necessary), otherwise, no game may start after 10:00 p.m. local time or resume after midnight local time. No games will be continued to Monday."

This is bringing back memories of that game against cougar high in the Astrodome back in '79. Anyone else remember that?

If it starts at 815 so they play 9 or a different number or is there a time after which a new inning can not start ?

I don't see anything about stopping at a specific time if the game is ongoing

My bad. Thought we had another delay. Though the weather is making it look more likely

Believe it was 1980. I was at the regional where we played Yale in 1993, and that game went well after midnight. Jeff Granger started that one for us.

that Regional game was in 1993. Opening round game and there were several delays throughout the day. Ags and Yale were the last game of the day and started a little after 11pm. Game lasted till 2am. It was a sold out SRO crowd.

1989 vs Arkansas was another late nighty as Ags and Hogs played a 16 inning game that lasted till 1am.

I was watching the tu warmups yesterday in right field and was kind of amused that 2 of the sips (one of them made 3 throwing errors) played hacky sack with the baseball for a little while. I guess things are pretty loose over there, and also that's what they have probably been doing for the delay.

I'd be laughing my ass off if Early already released the team. Hell, they might be eating at Casa do Brazil with their coaster staying in the green position right now. Let the sips stew a couple more hours.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but what have the teams been doing this whole time? Hanging out in the locker rooms? Meetings? Sleeping?

Yep. Kickoff was around 11:00PM. Game ended around 1:30AM? They were selling t-shirts saying it was the only 2 day game in the history of the SWC.

Decisions, decisions. Can't decide whether to remain in the living room and watch, or, get a shower and crawl into bed with my freshly washed bedding and watch. I'm afraid the latter would end up with me missing the game. Especially since I have had a couple Gin and Tonics.

Oh no. That's a worst case scenario. Every time I've been there ALL productivity ceased for the rest of the day.

Yep, that was the 1993 team that ended a 42 year drought of not winning a game in Omaha.

I was 9 yrs old. I was there. My parents raised me a UH fan back in the Yoeman and Phi Slamma Jama years. Lots of fun memories going to games with my mom and dad. They even made me sit on a sheet of ice at the ICE Bowl in '77 when Joe Montana made the miraculous ND comeback in the Cotton Bowl.

You are absolutely correct. We played cougars at Kyle on odd numbered years. My teams went 0-2 that day.
