With Ole Miss, it was at least a little understandable, they rose from preseason #5 to #1 during the season before injuries hit them. They had a lull, then became healthy, and went on a tear.
OU was unranked and predicted to finish 14th in the SEC. To their credit, they rose up to #8 in March before falling out of the polls halfway through May. Something clicked right after they lost in the SECT, and they've been on fire ever since.
