I remember our first game in the College World Series in 2011. Each team scored 4 runs in the first inning and then no runs at all until South Carolina in the ninth.

If Oklahoma finishes this improbable run either tomorrow or Monday, they'll have definitely gone in through the front door by beating the #2, #3 and #5 national seeds twice each. Nine straight wins this time of year is pretty astounding.

I'd be fine with a 32 team tournament with two weekend of best of 3 series. OU would have sneaked into that maybe and it would ensure the regular season means more.

Or it would keep sub .500 conference record teams like OU and Kentucky from getting in which is decent incentive to reward a quality full season instead of those getting hot at the end.

Will never happen though.
