I did something similar last week at Imola. Puresport puts on a supercar lap rental with instructor. They push you to go fast and it's pretty wild from someone that doesn't really have much seat time in high powered cars. I chose the GT4 RS as it was one of the lower HP cars there and it was still nuts how fast amateur me could go around the corners. There were several Ferraris, Lambos, a GT3 RS, and a MB AMG GT along with the GT4 RS and regular GT4 you could rent laps with.
One thing on Imola is the topography, it's very deceiving on TV but there are some crazy elevation changes and corners that fall away from you. It's also narrower than I would have thought for F1 ( I see why Bottas and Russle came together a few years ago).
If anyone is in Europe during a Puresport event at one of the tracks I would highly recommend it, it's not some controlled max out at 100mph drive. My instructor had 4 commands while driving, Go Go Go, Brake now, Up, and Down. Then he points to the apex's and uses hand gestures to hit the line. It took the guessing game out of it so you just drive fast when you listen to him. Top speeds from my buddy in a v10 Lambo was 240kmh and I hit 200kmh on the short straight, my wife hit 185kmh. The 296 GTB with a good driver was hitting 250kmh.
