I honestly thought we were dead. We lost three games to tie breakers in singles, lost the doubles point (again!), and still won. What a testament to the fortitude of our tennis ladies. We also had the crowd against us.

I'm stunned. Looked great in singles for a bit and then the mo' just flipped to all Georgia. Sure looked like we were done. What a gutsy performance all around.
Georgia should be embarrased by the brand of tennis in those last two matches. One girl can't even hit a topspin forehand and hacks at everything and the other is a pusher galore. Neither worked for them and the Lady Ags make them pay!!!!

YALL - Vi was down 6-1, 4/5-1 and won her match. She came back and won that match which moved us along and gave Daria and Lu a chance. Mia played FANTASTIC today.

I honestly can't believe what I just saw. I am speechless. Lu fought through the cramps and the other girl started having some injury problems too
The girl on 6 isn't all that shocking though. It's the pusher on line 1 that I just don't get, esp not somewhere like UGA.
I'll be yelling loud tomorrow night! Got an early flight back home Monday but it'll be worth it to watch them win again live!!

Daria and then Lulu having essentially the entire contingent of Dawgs fans watching them and still whooping ass was phenomenal stuff. Daria watching her opponent attempt to pump up the crowd every point she wins, and just being mentally strong to block that out and just keep playing her game.

I didn't look it up but I'm not sure we've ever beaten her in a dual match. If we did it was likely her freshman year.
Her strategy was honestly brilliant. She had no chance playing Lu straight up as we saw in the first set. So she decided to give her nothing and she is a brilliant mover that never misses.
But Lulu beat her at her own game. On her home court. In front of all her fans. In her last college match ever.
Lulu is an absolute it a legend.
