So how is this going to play out? Specifically, how is Saul going to explain to Lalo that he survived, took out 8 machine-gun-toting bad guys, and walked with 7 million through the desert over 24 hours after his car broke down?! Any explanation that doesn't include he was helped is going to be hard to believe.
He could just say his car broke down......Or that he had hired protection
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

For those of you complaining about the episode being 15 minutes of awesome (shootout) and 45 minutes of boring (2 guys in the desert) are completely wrong.

It was a bottle episode...or at least 2/3 of it was. Cars exploding and special effects are expensive. To balance that out financially with the budget, they have to film a bunch of stuff with only a couple of characters and no scene changes.

I think we all know what a bottle episode is, we just aren't used to seeing them this way. It was actually quite brilliant.

Did anyone notice the "brief nudity" warning right before the episode? Who got nekkid? Wife and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I really liked that episode, for a lot of reasons. Cinematically beautiful and well shot, huge impacts on the story (both obvious and subtle).

That being said, I think it was a mistake for them to hype it up on twitter and in the media.

I don't care about the "nudity" one way or the other, but it seemed completely pointless. I wonder why they even bothered with it.

Halfway through I was thinking - this is The Fly episode except with Saul and Mike

I think one of my favorite lines in the show so far is Lalo talking about the cousins: "You're gonna like them. They're good boys."

The Salamanca family really is full of interesting characters. That would be one crazy family reunion with all that money and all those personalities.

I think Lalo showed more emotion and personality in last night's episode than any other before.

We got a little context of this line from BrBa.

I was indifferent towards "The Fly" in BB.

I absolutely LOVED last nights episode.

I guess Jimmy has had a number of Breaking Bad moments throughout his life, but as far as Saul Goodman was that his biggest moment to date. And he can never turn back now.

I was half expecting Kim to be gone when he got back (ignoring the future episode synopsis, just something that wouldn't have surprised me). Of course, I wondered if Kim was driving the GMC when it was shot, so I was being a bit dramatic.

This struck a major cord knowing Mike's outcome in BrBa.

Yeah, that was powerful.

I think what makes BCS and BB so timeless is that they let so many characters shine. It would be a completely different show if there were just one or two heroes who got good lines.

Did anyone else think that Mike looked REALLY tired out there in the desert--as in, the ACTOR, who is no spring chicken, was really worn out by what he had to do? His facial expressions, slumped shoulders, shuffling steps at times...He really seemed exhausted.

I think it just speaks to his acting ability being an older guy that had to walk 31.6 miles in the desert.

So, why not just stash the cash and gun in the desert with the gas cap, then they can find it later with the GPS?

I doubt Mike knew there was GPS in there for sure. He was just playing it safe. (Is my guess.)

Much less actually have the tracker himself.

I assume the tracker in the gas cap was how he found Saul for the gunfight. He had the tracking device with his gun.

It was how Mike tracked him. Great episode a couple seasons ago when Mike figured out that Gus had the tracker placed in his gas cap

But you're right, we don't know for sure.

Zero chance in leaving 7 million in the desert. I'm either getting out with it, or dying with it.

I think the writers like old or ****ty cars. There's been the Aztek, the Esteem, Mike driving old LTD's (or something similar. I thought the Esteem deserved a great send off scene like the old RV, one of my favorite scenes with the music:

I think they are facing a problem with this show that Jonathan Banks is 73 years old and getting too old to play the role he is playing. They can't kill him off because it's a prequel, and they can't have him slow down or play a different style because it wouldn't make any sense in the overall storyline.

I think what happens to Kim is the real question. It's clear they started positioning her ultimate demise by making a big deal about her being in the game. Vacuum disappear or killed? I think either of those would be a hard sell since we never saw Saul mourning her or talking about her in Br Bad. I think they would need Saul to betray her first and have her leave and then disappear.

Did anyone else think that was the twins involved in the shootout - I figured Lalo had told them to keep an eye on Saul and make sure he gets at least to the main road. Was pleasantly surprised to see Mike.
