It could still easily release this year. Last season's shoot-to-air gap was unusually long. So I'm thinking anywhere from an August to October debut, if not early '22.

The age stuff (as it relates to BB: Saul, Gus, and Mike) has never really bothered me but I think its going to jump out more this coming season. We are talking like 14 years now from production of BB S1 to BCS S6. For Mike especially that's going to be a challenge for the make up department.
Still very much looking forward to it though, and like I said I can look past it.

Still don't understand how Mike's granddaughter is the same age as in BB.
Do you think the show will spend much more time with Omaha Gene than usually? I assume we'll have the normal opening scene and then an extra one toward the end of the show, but I'm curious if they'll devote substantial time to that storyline. I think Andy Greenwald speculated (wished?) that they would create another spinoff after BCS ends that is based in Omaha. Not sure that that seems likely, but I wouldn't mind having a full episode devoted to Gene.
Yeah, surely they spend more time on that timeline this season. I can't imagine all of that only leading up to another couple little "flash forwards" and that's it.
Seems like Omaha Gene would be pretty boring - I don't mind an episode in BCS but not an entire series when the entire idea behind Omaha Gene seems to be laying low and keeping a low profile.
Also, what would be the character arc? He certainly had one on BCS but as Omaha Gene there really isn't anywhere else dramatically or thematically to go, which I'm sure they understand.Zombie Jon Snow said:

The "world" will continue in the BCS animated (prequel) series. I doubt we spend much BCS season 6 time in Omaha. Sadly we know the vacuum repairman won't appear.
I was thinking over the weekend about how ready I am for season 6. I know it's been filming but there is discussion about it not being released until 2022. It's hard to believe but BCS Saul debuted early 2015.
Is anyone else just satisfied to wrap up this series and just leave the Breaking Bad/BCS universe alone? And I absolutely love BCS, but I'm ok with at some point you just need to leave well enough alone

I had totally missed this until today.
I saw another actor saying his shooting had wrapped.
Hopefully they are close to done, the health issue didn't impact the script or story plan in any way, and they are on target for early 2022.

Took me forever to finally start this show, and I'm absolutely devouring it. Half way through S5, and already planning on starting it again immediately. So. damn. good.
Welcome to the club.
The thing is, I loved BB and I was looking forward to Saul when it was announced. I'm just not a good binge watcher. I must have started it 2 or 3 times in the past, got distracted, then moved on. This show is so much better than even the highest of my expectations
