I really enjoy BCS now, but it took some time to catch on for me and I wasn't very excited about it when the show was first announced. I started watching only because I wanted to see more of the BB universe, but now I'm completely sucked into it again.

Pretty crazy that it's not that ridiculous a statement at this point. Both are masterpieces.

Have been rewatching BB and got to the first intro of Saul this week where Jesse and Walt take him out to the desert with ski masks and he's begging for Lalo not to kill him before he realizes it's not him or his guys

Oh, wow. I'm guessing six or seven episodes in, say, February, and then the final six or seven episode around fall-ish?
Basically what BB did its "final season", which for all intents and purposes was two seasons.
They probably do it for legal/financial reasons. Although I think in this case they've said they wanted to end it and AMC wanted more, and a two part season was the compromise.

It's been so long since it was on that I've dropped cable. I hope I'll be able to buy the season on Amazon and be able to watch it the day after.
I broke down and wound up doing that for Yellowstone, instead of waiting for it to show up on Peacock. It was getting harder and harder to avoid spoilers.
