I liked when Jimmy introduced himself as Saul Goodman, Hank said "S'all good, man!" He has him figured out at the jump lol
I couldn't tell if that was all part of Saul's plan or not. Kinda seemed like it was...Tony Franklins Other Shoe said:
Also, Hank almost blew the plan by walking out while they were trying to bargain, but Saul ad libbed and got him back in, right?
Saul's opening line in BB is "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio." then "Lalo didn't send you?" (see last page)J.P. 03 said:
So just to make sure I'm following this episode correctly, Lalo's plan is to use Saul to convince Crazy 8 to pretend to "flip" on someone higher up, and the discussion with Nacho, Gus, and Throat-Slash Guy at the end basically revealed that it's Gus who Lalo is trying to frame?
Situations like these are when I appreciate that this show is a prequel: Since Gus is in BB and Lalo isn't (directly), I guess we can assume that Gus either kills him or maybe he ends up turning the tables and getting him arrested instead.
My money, though, is gonna be on Nacho being the one to take the fall. After that speech his dad gave him, I could see him being faced with a situation where Gus threatens to kill his father unless he gets the DEA off his back, and he sees confessing as the only way to save his dad and his honor at the same time.
I thought that one of the flash forwards to Saul shredding everything in his office included him telling Francesca to call Kim to represent her (though not by name).TCTTS said:
Great episode.
That said, the deeper Jimmy gets, the more worried I am that either Lalo or Gus erases Kim. Which I just don't think I'll be able to handle.
On a lighter note, I've decided that the actor who plays Lalo needs to be in everything. That dude should be a star.

May be Kim, may not be Kim.Quote:
In a flash forward to sometime between the events of the Breaking Bad episodes "Ozymandias" and "Granite State",[1] Saul Goodman frantically collects money and other important possessions from his office while Francesca shreds incriminating paperwork. As he says goodbye to her, Saul gives Francesca a lawyer's business card and says that if she needs legal help, she should tell the attorney "Jimmy" sent her. They agree that she will be at a particular location on November 12 at 3 PM to receive a phone call and she says if the phone doesn't ring at exactly 3 o'clock, she'll leave immediately. He says the last few years have been "quite a ride", then contacts his "disappearer" for a new identity.
Good point. And she originally knew him as Jimmy anyway.tomtomdrumdrum said:
Yeah that's what it was. Wouldn't make sense for him to tell Francesca how to introduce herself, since she worked with Kim.

I agree. Really has a screen presence.

For whatever reason, I don't think it'll happen. I have a slight hope that the Gene storyline may end happily with him coming back to Kim.
So weird that it got me interested in yodeling. That's not supposed to happen. Ever. Ha.Brian Earl Spilner said:
BB/BCS continue to have some of the coolest cold opens in television. So weird and unexpected.
Yeah, but he mentioned Nacho in a "it was him who did it" context. So he doesn't have to be alive for that. Now Lalo has to be alive (or at least Saul has to think he is alive) for Saul to be grateful that Lalo didn't send WW and Jesse.Brian Earl Spilner said:
I tend to think that the show will give either Nacho or Kim a "happy" ending, and the other gets killed.
The obvious money is on Nacho getting got, given how he's basically trapped from both sides. Sadly I think his dad is a goner as well.
The only thing that throws that off is Saul mentioning him in BB. So it could be he either he doesn't know he's been killed, or S6 will overlap with the BB timeline.

I really hope that's the case. I guess the Gene scenes *do* have to have some kind of greater purpose, and it all leading to a Jimmy/Kim reunion would be awesome.
