I was hoping to see Yelena in the audience as part of her New York trip, either totally hating it or super into it.

So thinking on the finale next day, the only real miss I have is Jack. And not even a miss, I just feel like we never quite understood who he was.

Why is the random CEO type guy a master swordsman? Why was he at a black market Avengers auction? Why was he just carrying around a sword at the holiday party?

There was a lot more to unpack there that I wish we'd gotten at least a few hints about.

I feel a bit happy that I called mom being shady pretty early in the game. I do wish we would have learned more about Jack. Once we got the "Definitely not a villain" thing, he was fun and whimsical and eccentric.

I'm not sure he was even aware that he was the CEO. I think he was born super wealthy, and as he said in episode 5, he's never worked a day in his life.

As far as the sword play, isn't fencing the kind of activity the super wealthy make their kids do? Maybe he was just really good at it. Agree that there was no explanation given, realistic or otherwise.

My wife said he was basically just doing a Ron Burgundy impression and holy **** she's so right. I couldn't stop laughing while he wandered about equally aloof and capable

I was absolutely positive at the end of the musical number, the final scene would be panning the audience and landing on Scott Lang looking confused but ok with it

First Avengers comic I read had Jacque Duquesne, the Swordsman, in the lineup. He was a Hawkeye villain turned hero. He and Mantis were a thing, and eventually Mantis dumped him, but he still dove in the way to save her from an attack, dying in the process.

I was certain that Jack would jump in the way, dying to save Eleanor, but instead it's just pure Jack - aloof, charming, no ill-will meant towards anyone.

It will be fun to rewatch in a binge and see how utterly un-villainous he is throughout when you know how it ends.

In 2-3 years you will be chastised for not using spoiler tags in this post and I will be chastised for quoting it.

I am really impressed that Florence Pugh does her own stunts. The jumping out the window and down 12 floors looked so good.

Hawkeye is my favorite of the Disney+ shows. I enjoyed them all.

If you like her, you should absolutely watch The Little Drummer Girl.

I did, but thanks for the recommendation. I really enjoyed that. I have liked all her movies but I couldn't follow King Lear. All the Brit's speaking in old English, it was just too hard to follow.

I was referring to CEO as more of his archetype (i.e. rich aloof guy) but yeah, I'm generally with you. I can piece together why he was who he is, it just seemed like they built him up to at least need some explanation and then in the finale he just goes all Jack Sparrow

I do really enjoy the thought of Jack's character, now knowing he isn't bad at all. He's just a simple, loveable idiot who is great with a sword.

Under the radar MVP of the show who had nothing but great intentions.

Would have loved a post credit scene with him at a LARP event.

Do we really now he isn't bad at all? I mean, I don't think he is evil necessarily, but he was at the black market auction trying to buy Ronin's sword.

Do we know why Kingpin wanted Armand dead? Something in the 1st episode I don't remember, maybe? Or was it merely the catalyst for the rest of the show?

Armand was suspicious of Eleanor, but of what it was never said. Good chance he thought or knew of her connections to Kingpin and so Kingpin wanted her to make sure he was eliminated.

Maybe, but you have to admit that Disney + doing six episodes of their series is better than Netflix doing twelve episodes with half of them being filler.

Daredevil is the only one Netflix got right. The first season of JJ was great, but everything else was crap.
