When Kate Bishop walked in the Barton house at the end of the episode, should have cut to the teenage son saying "Merry Christmas to me!"
Jack's character was hokey, but he was so much fun. Remember early on when he was trying (and failing) to connect with Kate, and he said he read a book on becoming a stepparent? They played it off like he was trying to insidiously worm his way into the family, but it was completely wholesome the whole time. The dude who hadn't worked a day in his life was trying to become a great dad.DallasTeleAg said:
I do really enjoy the thought of Jack's character, now knowing he isn't bad at all. He's just a simple, loveable idiot who is great with a sword.
Under the radar MVP of the show who had nothing but great intentions.

As good as this season was, it could have used another episode. It felt rushed.
Maybe, but you have to admit that Disney + doing six episodes of their series is better than Netflix doing twelve episodes with half of them being filler.
I loved when Jack nonchalantly mentioned how no one forgot the kid peed his pants, when he was being bratty to Jack. That was so great.malenurse said:
The kid that played Armand VII was also a nice, comedic relief. Just a bratty little rich kid with issues. Not the least of which was being named Armand VII
Reminds me of Jonah Hill doing the same to Dave Franco when he's trying to talk to Michael Cera in gym class in "Superbad".DallasTeleAg said:I loved when Jack nonchalantly mentioned how no one forgot the kid peed his pants, when he was being bratty to Jack. That was so great.malenurse said:

Love seeing adults zing kids in movies or shows.

I think this answers the question I had...the Asian guy in red and black was Scott, right?jeffk said:I think Scott Lang would have been better cameo. literally Pikachu faced thinking I wasn't in new York then.

just listened to an interview with Rhys Thomas on The Ringer and he confirmed that, at least in his mind, it's the same character as in the Daredevil series. i.e., not a variantredline248 said:
I'm torn on which way this could go. On one hand hand it would be easy to just reboot with same actor. On the other hand Clint knows who he is and that he's a bad guy. Is that bc of SHIELD following the events of Daredevil? Or is it bc of his time as Ronin dealing in the underground?

FTR, he was actually there in later time travel sequence; just not hanging out with the larger original group.
I think it actually makes tons of sense if you think about how that would play out in the real world. It was a fictionalized Broadway musical about (in-universe) real events. Like most art, it borrows from true and finagles some fictions to tell a story. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if a musical made about a group of heroes took some liberties regarding one of the events for purposes of storytelling - that's what they all do.texasaggie04 said:YouBet said:

Screencrush said that Ant-Man was supposed to be in the original Avengers movie but he got cut from it since his solo movie hadn't been released yet. So maybe this was just a tribute to that? Otherwise yeah, it makes no sense.

Just finished this. Let me start by saying that I hate comic book movies (except Batman movies). I only watched the first Avengers movie and had no clue on most of the back stories. All that said, I really enjoyed this. The play between Clint and Kate was great. The fight scenes were hokey at times, but entertaining. The whole hearing impaired part of it didn't seem to add much, but whatever. Anyway, really liked this series and am in for the next season. Carry on with your comic discussion.
