I really liked #Superman. It’s beautiful, hopeful, and reminds you why these stories matter. Just the absolute solid comic book movie I needed. pic.twitter.com/EegA50ABr9

I saw #Superman tonight…and I can honestly say what @JamesGunn has done with this character & this film is nothing short of amazing. It’s a top 5 film of the year DC Studios is officially on the map, and if this is anything of what we can expect to see it will be a force to be… pic.twitter.com/OxLk71L7Sp

David Corenswet is a great #Superman not just because of his traditional appearance but understanding of his heart and altruism. Needed more time with Clark Kent. Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific is a star. Devolves into too much no stakes destruction but good overall. pic.twitter.com/C542umMY5L

#Superman is a comic book movie that shakes the rust off of an entire genre. 🦸♂️

James Gunn once again proves he’s the best in the biz at balancing humor and heart, but this time it’s never felt more important. 💙

#Superman made me so incredibly happy. It’s vibrant, exciting, and full of hope, wonder and awe - everything a Superman movie should be and a comic brought to life with a cast of characters that all stand out in the best ways. It wears its heart on its sleeve the entire time… pic.twitter.com/lmTOar42Yk

Trailers for Superman didn’t really move the needle for me much. I’m pleased to report that I fucking loved it. Full of energy and a big beating heart at the center. I’m suddenly very invested in this new DC era.

#Superman soars with heart, heroism, and spectacle. David Corenswet brings warmth and sincerity to the Man of Tomorrow. While the plot feels a bit bloated, it’s a clear sign that James Gunn understands these characters at their core. Excited for the future of the DC Universe. pic.twitter.com/iPsEJXdX9v

Two minutes of my overall thoughts on the movie, James Gunn's vision, the chemistry between the actors and their performances, and the overall energy of this new #SupermanMovie .

So you're objecting to the Twitter posts on this thread. Is that correct?20ag07 said:

That's not "curation".
If anyone wanted to go to Twitter, we could just do that. We don't need 53 reposts. And you tried to call me deranged. Jesus.

No movie has 53 straight reposts of things said on Twitter.
They have conversation from users.
If anyone want 53 Twitter reposts, they could just go get them on Twitter. It's not like they're curated from known critics.
53 is crazy.

Just like pretty much every movie thread on here?
I would suggest putting TC on ignore since you have stars. All his posts will be minimized and you won't see anything he writes. Since you seem to have carried your jurassic world grudge for him over to a second thread, that would probably be in everyone's best interest.20ag07 said:

I'm hopeful because of the cast. It looks fun. Glad to see it being described as 'hopeful' - which is what I figured it would be despite the noise. I really think the banter about policy has very little to do with the actual movie, it's people using their platform to complain and drum up attention...which does come off as kind of cheap when political outrage is so selective depending on which party holds leadership...but you can't let it ruin the experience.FL_Ag1998 said:
I was never worried about Corenswet or brosnahan, as Superman and Lois. My concern was Lex and Mr.Terrific, but it sounds like they knocked it out of the park with those two. Now, my only concern is being turned into a bleeding heart liberal by Gunn's indoctrination.

TIL I missed out on more fun by not following the Jurassic World thread. (FWIW will probably wait for streaming on that one.)
This is good advice for a lot of people, and especially for someone who complains more than my wife.FL_Ag1998 said:20ag07 said:

Dude, seriously, all this hate and anger inside of you is gonna eat you up. Get off the internet and step outside for a while. It'll do you wonders.
That's unfortunately the vibe I've been getting. Disappointing they can't figure it out, at least the original is an all timer.schmendeler said:fig96 said:

Good call. It was... Not good.
Sorry to hear, hope it picks you up and that your dad improves as much as he can.Saxsoon said:
