I haven't been too crazy about the darkness of the content and the action sequences of the last few movies. I am hoping that this movie returns to the comic style of the original. Sounds like it does, but will be able to confirm in a few more hours.

I've been married almost 20 years now. And over the course of that time, I'm sure my wife has told me 53 times not to forget to replace the trash bag in the kitchen when I emptied the full one.

And I've probably asked her 53 times not to leave her shoes out next to the bed where I trip over them in the middle of the night.

What neither one of us has done is thrown a hissy fit nor held grudges about it.

The complaints about the reactions tweets never cease to amaze me. Always from the same disgruntled folks, too, who, in reality, whine mostly because the tweets are posted by me. I could post the cure to cancer and they'd still find something to ***** about, solely because I was the one posting it.

Anyway, I've seen a few more so-so/not impressed reviews today, but still nothing outright negative. Then there's a group - mostly Snyder Bros, it seems - who are convinced this is going to go down like The Flash reactions, where the initial batch are positive, but then everything else is super negative. Who knows, maybe they're right, but this is a completely different scenario. Either way, we'll find out soon, starting in half an hour or so, when the actual review embargo lifts and the RT score can be tabulated.

All I know is that I just talked to one of my good friends, who was at the premiere last night and who, more importantly, can't stand most superhero movies, but absolutely loved this one. Said it's a ton of fun, the characters really stand out, and that he's actually looking forward to seeing it again on Saturday with the group we have going. I couldn't believe it. So take that for what it's worth.

He liked The Dark Knight and I think that's about it. He always complains that our "prime movie-going years" have been dominated by superhero movies, and then when you really get him going he'll start *****ing about "warehouses full of clone armies," which I think maybe happened in one superhero movie he saw, but he swears happens in every superhero movie he's ever been forced to sit through. He just really, really hates CGI fights and all that kind of stuff. Honestly, I can sometimes see where he's coming from, but I guess I'm able to mostly tune that stuff out.

I think the issue (at least for me) is having to scroll through multiple pages of tweets to find the actual posts and discussion.

Do we really need this many?

Also I wonder if it it's not just easier to keep them all on a single post for easy reference for those who care to scroll and see them all. (Maybe on the first page?)

Just some ideas.
