You know there will be quite a few that don't respond because they aren't working nor checking emails. Will be interesting to see how many never even opened the email and are trying to contact HR when their paychecks aren't coming in.

After that I'm sure they'll go with even more slimy corporate tactics to get people to quit:
- Move them to a different role they aren't qualified for then fire them for low performance
- Tell them they need to relocate to another city, with less salary due to lower cost of living.
Sucks to be an employee most anywhere in the US currently with the constant threat of an axe being shoved up your rear. Glad/not glad to see these guys go through the same thing we go through.

Then just type some bs and go on your way. This is like the first day of football practice where you get your head beat in and then 5 miles till you puke. Weed out the easy ones right away.
Looks like you will to 65.1 hours. Go cry somewhere else.clw04 said:I wish I got overtime - nope, I give the taxpayers work for free just like I did when I worked in industry. Not a status that means anything - it took me 30 seconds for a post - in my free time after working 65 hours this week. I'm pretty sure they don't want a status of "Generated Presentations for solving problems" as a status report of what I did this week.
So we paid you for 25 hours of OT?
We want to know what all you accomplished too.

Heaven forbid you have to provide a weekly status report. Public employees never fail to impress.
Doesn't matter. I do what the person in charge asks me to, or I find another job.
Yeah. It's not that difficult. I've worked on private sector for 25 years. There's been periods where I did weekly status updates. It's not a difficult thing to do takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Sounds like this request will be extremely easy for you to complete.clw04 said:I provide weekly reports to my boss with details that apply to themOl_Ag_02 said:

Does the federal government hire janitors or sub out that work like most corporations?Deerdude said:I'm guessing that if you are a janitor and working from home, you just as well updated the resume. You are not long for civil service.TexasAggie73 said:

I bet that would be just fine. This is about laying off more of the work force for those too stubborn to comply.clw04 said:

I'm a government contractor. Most of our contracts require us to send weekly reports and we work more hours than our government clients. If you don't have time for it, then why force your contractors to do it?

I'm a state government employee.
I do this every week.
It's not a difficult requirement.
Most agencies already do something similar, why not just contact leadership and have them send along status updates, that seems like a more efficient processOl_Ag_02 said:
