Paxton supporter here, not because he is a great candidate but because he's more conservative than Cornyn which is very low bar to beat AND Paxton has high likelihood of winning the general. I will not be voting for Cornyn in the general if the squishy RINO's vote for him in the runoff.

Those voters clearly have not learned their lesson that their vote is advocating for zero or one step right at best when in power and two steps left when out. And the pendulum is undefeated at a national scale, therefore we need to stop playing to not lose and start playing to win when there's a chance.

The impeachment was a politically motivated witch hunt that Paxton and his attorneys beat like a drum because none of the charges had any merit. 100% hearsay and second/third hand "evidence".

Don't know much about mistresses, but neither do you other than more hearsay, and at least he will govern as a real conservative.

Who cares about how many mansions he has? Glad he's been successful in life. Nice class warfare though.

It's going to be OK. Paxton will be a good Senator in spite of all the hate and consternation from the Cornyn camp.

The issue was that conservatives wouldn't vote for him due to this and everyone else certainly wouldn't vote for him due to his conservatism. It was all BS as this stuff you write here is with Paxton.

Paxton's death has been reported now for a decade. He's stronger politically than he's ever been.

What's amazing to me is that anyone is remotely concerned about Talarico. That dude has way more skeletons in his closet than have been released. Zero chance he will ever represent Texas in the Senate. Take the chance to get rid of the RINO and stop fear mongering about losing to that creep.

I believe Talarico is just as liked by the left as Beto, maybe even more because of his super liberal views on the Christian church, which they hate.

It's unclear if Paxton is more likeable than Cruz. He definitely has more skeletons than Cruz and I expect the Dems to pull out all the stops on that.

I dunno, I think Paxton or Cornyn beat Talarico but to suggest it's a slam dunk zero chance for Talarico, I'm just not there yet.

Good point. As someone that's lived in the Heights for 7.5yrs, I recall seeing a hell of a lot more Beto signs than I've seen Talarico signs.

Per Gemini (don't know if I trust it), Beto raised $6.7M in the first quarter of 2018, versus $27M raised by Talarido in Q1 of 2026. That's 4x.

Talarico hates the Christian church (at least the ones that don't have rainbow flags and abortion centers out front) and he's done everything he can to try and impersonate their lord and savior barack obama in his mannerisms, speech, etc.
