It is being handled between employer and employee. Employee made inappropriate remarks that reflect poorly on the company, the company was made aware of it, reviewed it, determined the employee violated a policy whose repercussions for such violation of policy includes things up to and including termination.
What you really want is a free pass for these folks cause it's hurting your team this time around.
Sorry, fair is fair. See Kilmeade thread for Team Blue going after a good man who misspoke once in 25+ years.
My side? Child, I've probably been voting for "your side" since before you were born.
Many years ago I had a neighbor with teenaged boys who would get drunk with their friends in the yard, carry on like fools, and their dad would let them drive home drunk. Everything in me wanted to confront them with anger, but for some reason God's Spirit told me to just be a good neighbor. Shortly thereafter his wife died of cancer, and he quickly began dating a new woman. I noticed a different vibe at the house, and one day he stopped me in the yard to thank me for my prayers, to tell me that he had received Christ, and that he and his future wife were now joining the church. I am reminded to this day that the anger of man does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. I challenge you to read that verse, and I pray that it becomes very true in your life.
So you knowingly put the lives of your fellow neighbors at risk to avoid confrontation and then you credit that with your neighbor finding Jesus, then you tell me to read scripture after tongue lashing me with look here "child".
You remind me of the fable about the guy in his truck with rising floodwaters who passed on a guy driving by, a boat and a helicopter cause her was waiting on Jesus to save him. He drowns and ask Jesus why… and the reply is that he sent a guy in a truck, boat and helicopter to answer his prayers.
Someone was praying for a person to step up and put a stop to those by its driving home drunk, and you told the boat to pass on by.
Sometimes faith requires action, boldness.
And don't ever try and lecture me. Keep the preaching to yourself.
I didn't tell you all the details of the story. I reported the parties to the police. They showed up, and rather than calling their parents to pick them up, the cops actually sent them all home. Yes, the police told drunk teens to drive home. There were many other things I chose not to confront the neighbor about, or even tell you about. I lived at peace with him for about 2 years like this, with things disappearing from my yard, bottle rockets fired at my house, etc., just dumb kid stuff with stoned or absent parental guidance. God had a plan that was way better than what my anger wanted.
Thank you for judging my story, my character, my family, my voting record, and my faith. May you be blessed with the blue currency you so desperately covet.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough
