because...
  • If you are a government employee - these comments and ideals do not align with the current administration and you will be removed from your position when leadership finds out
  • if you are receiving government grants - these comments and ideals do not align with the current administration and your funding will be terminated when leadership finds out
  • if you are a teacher / professor - your comments put the institutions and funding at risk because they do not align to the current administration and you will likely be fired to prevent losing grants, donor money, accreditation, etc
  • if you are an employee of a business - your comments put your employer at risk of losing business because you are offending/insulting a large block of their customer base.

Same! I've been searching for the debates when people selectively pulled quotes and listened to the entire argument.

I cannot find an example of anything they claim. Sure they infer and imply people "could" interpret it that way, but that is different than outright claims of racism etc. I've been more impressed with his faith and how vocal he was, and I didn't know that either as a casual follower.

There isn't a line of folks waiting to sign up for a job filled with rotten, defiant, disrespectful students who require one to bend over backwards to get them to learn material they were meant to. (I was once one of them till my mother and father whipped me into shape early, but this is rarely the case nowadays)

It's gotten so bad, I'm sure there are places that simply hire folks off the street with clean records just to babysit, and maintain a "gradebook" where everyone simply passes the course.

You're getting rid of those who've painstakingly gotten the degree and gone through a year or two of teacher certification.

I get it with all the Marx indoctrination, but replacing them with an equally experienced, let alone certified person will not be an easy feat. It's easier said than done.

Meanwhile their students will have a long term sub till who knows when.
