He also graduated from HS a year early. So he's played 4 years of college football, but he's only turning 22 in October of this year.

Went about as good as could reasonably be expected. Between the draft picks and trades we added two starters and two guys who will definitely contribute this year on defense over the last three days.

Still wish we could have flipped one or two fourth round picks for another established linebacker but other than that I love it.

But not impossible. 4 wide, QB spy, special teams is enough for me to gamble in the 4th.

Also, Anthony SMith's highlights at ECU look like a dominate high school propect. Just bigger and faster than everyone.

They need guys on rookie deals, so flipping one makes sense. Flipping more than that starts to pile up, especially with the trades they did previously turning picks into guys with bigger contracts (some of which will need another one soon)

He's gonna have to be a special teams demon if he's gonna have any shot.

The Miami game did him no favors. It wasn't that he was terrible, but it highlighted his limitations.

This was definitely a great weekend for Dallas. Coming away with 2 immediate starters and 2 guys you expect to to be key pieces right away is awesome.

It gets really fun when one of the guys projects to be a multi year team captain / pro bowler and another has the skills to reach double digit sacks.

You never know, but it's hard to imagine not looking back at this draft in a few years and calling it a success.

Oddly enough when the Cowboys staff came to College Station for pro day they took all the NFL prospects out to dinner but didn't include EJ.

He was a huge part of our team this year and kinda unexpectedly. Wishing big things for him

That Florida corner is supposed to be a beast as well. 4.3 speed that didn't show up at the combine bc of injuries but he wanted to compete. Hes supposed to be super talented and could be a star in the league. His downfall is that he's been injury prone.

Yes and he's not a "redshirt" guy right now. He should be good for OTAs, as I understand it. But he gets injured a lot.

So what I heard on McCoy is that they expect him ready for the season. The question is does he make it to a 2nd contract.

Regarding the Draft, this was probably the most fun I've ever had it (which goes back to February when I started really digging into draft podcasts and watching a little film).

The talk leading up to the draft was so good because the possibilities were numerous with 2 picks on Thursday. 3 full months of anticipation/entertainment.

And, of course, the payoff was just about perfect. The Downs drop that we all knew was very unlikely, but very possible, happens. The trade back at 20 and still getting one of the top edge prospects. It was all just so good.
